I personally have done special episodes in a Modern Day AU for my novels. I haven't done any for the one I am currently working on, but I have done it for my other one.
Ronan knows the big bad from his time in the military. I can't say anything else about anything without spoiling everything.
I personally like the more violent scenes just because they're a bit more difficult and intricate, just by trying to get all the details and reactions right, to write.
I'm not the best artist (hence why I have novel and not a comic), but I'll give it a go if you don't mind!

Panter, I'll often go to write what was going to be a happy scene, and it turns into.... well.... that's where the scenes with more gore come from.
