Maybe a 1.5 out of 5.

However, this allows me to be utterly shameless in the employment of cheats and tricks. I mean, what do I have to lose--my artistic integrity?

I think the real question is which were the comics in this thread that people checked out. The low ballers or the high ballers?

I'd say I'm inching closer to a 4! I'm a working professional, and I know I've got solid skills, but there's always more to learn - and I am struggling against things like my own moderate face-blindness, and having to teach myself all the things they didn't teach me in school (I wish, I wish they'd spent more time on lifedrawing, colour theory, perspective and composition; I do have solid storytelling skills, though, thanks to school).

I'm pretty sure I'm a 3. I'm kinda average and I still have much to learn!

This is interesting, since everyone's idea of a 5 is different based on what inspires you and who you look up to creatively.

For me, I'd say I'm a solid 3.5. Ohhhhh yeah!

I've worked professionally and am currently going to be pushing myself further by getting a masters in Sequential Art. And I still say I'm a solid 3 at most. But thing is. Art is very subjective and will always be. What you consider 'good' will most likely not be what I consider good. It is a matter of taste and not only analyzing yourself but those around you!

It's the most boring thing for me, as well. Coloring's my job, so I've got used to it, but inking destroys me ;w;

.... we all use tips and tricks, there's nothing shameful about it just a faster working process. ripping someone art off the net and posting as your own THATS shameful. Using ref, 3d software, dodge and burn, etc etc are all legit methods.

Oh god, maybe 2? Probably a 1.5 if you squint at my anatomy and count how fast I can churn out comic pages.

I would say...2.5-3. I developed a lot with years, and I'm proud of it, but I'm still horrible at anatomy.
This is Sohiru (Dreamcatchers2) from the 1st and the last chapter I drew:

3.5 maybe? I draw decently, but still have a lot to learn.

Hmmm.... that's a good question. I'm not really certain how to rate myself without an actual list or scale from which to compare myself against. I also have a very different style between my comic art and what I regularly paint with.
For example, there's my typical comic page here3, and then a typical painting here1.
If I were compare myself to some of my idols, maybe ranging between 3.8 - 4ish?

I've been drawing long enough that I'm definitely past 1 and possibly 2 depending on whom you might ask. IMO, I'm at most a 3, but a 2.5 would probably be more accurate again depending on whom you might ask

I don't really know because everyone has a different scale for what they consider professional looking and beginner like.
I mean when I was fourteen I thought my art was super professional looking and it wasn't and now I think I'm like average maybe a bit about so I'm really not sure. I want to say on the high end like 4 or more but my gut is telling me like a like a 3 or lower.
Rating oneself is a little hard because I wanna be nice and proud and say oh I'm great but my gut then likes to self depreciate and go no you're awful. Even though I know I'm not
This is my art on the good end:

Me on my sketchier less refined side

and me at my worst (though it's a little old by like a year or so it's still mine

..... So maybe at my best I'm a four maybe and at my worst I'm like a 3 is or maybe like a 2.75ish so I guess at normal I'm like 3.5 or something?
