Recommendation for new place to host comic and novel + added review?

I'm the type to just stick with one site to post my stuff, so I'm looking for an alternative for comic and novels hosting platform.

Tbh I haven't been visiting tapas much or creating any new content consistently but I've been building my motivation to start again.

I wonder if there's a site that's lgbtqa friendly, anti AI creation, and allow mature and nsfw content, monetized or not. Feel free to list out the pro and contra of the site as well.

I don't know how to build my own site, so im looking for alternative aside from webtoon (strict with nsfw/mature) and Wattpad (I don't want to go there anymore) or AO3.

(If someone can point me to the easy guide to build a site to host comic and novel without the need of computer please do tell me)

I saw someone recommending voyce but I don't think I saw any community comic or an option to publish there (I have not signed up), unless someone can tell me I'm wrong?

Comicfury has literally everything you're looking for.

The cons are you'll need to learn basic HTML if you want to customize their templates (though there are templates), and it's not as popular. Also very centered on comics, not much support for literature

I can only speak for webcomics, but a bigger one outside of webtoon is comicfury. It seems to have a lot of what you're looking for like mature/graphic content. I've yet to really figure out how to upload on there though lol I have a feeling I'll get well acquainted with it if Tapas shuts down. it seems a little complex. But it gives you a lot of freedom in making your own webpage for your comic. So the customization and creative freedom make it on the top of my list as an alternative.

There's also namicomi. It's a lot easier to work with and more mobile friendly. Not a lot of engagement or much of a community on there but that might change if Tapas goes and people flock over there. It is a lot less restrictive than Webtoon and gives you the option to upload mature stuff

Does namicomi and comic fury okay for LGBTQ stuff? I also wonder what's their rule about nsfw though.

Yes you can do LGBTQ there and yes you can do NSWF stuff as long as you tag it with warnings. I don't think they allow you to put your comic-icon and/or cover with explicit NSFW-stuff front and center as that can show up on the front page. But the comics themseves are 100% fine as long as you tag them.

Inkitt seems like it allows it (explicit/mature content) if you mark it as 18+, but don't know about the others as I haven't uploaded to them. They have tags for LGBTQ+ on Inkitt, so it seems like they allow it.

I only know about Comicfury. I think you can do explicity sexual intercourse if you flag the comic with warnings. Nothing harmful though (like kids-shit and stuff like that). But normal intercourse I think is fine even if I haven't seen it. Their guidelines are pretty easy to look at and read at the bottom of their front page.

Just checked novel cult. Seems to be a good place? Saw their policy and they allow explicit sex and mature (as long as it's not pure smut, so like tapas). I just don't know if they have warning for triggering content aside from violence and sexual content warning.

They allow AI in translation, proofreading and editing, tho I don't see anything about their gen ai Policy for cover or other things since the ai cover is quite prevalent when you opened the site. There's two button on the bottom of the chapter where you can report the regular stuff and the other is reporting ai content, which I think is cool.

It also have a text to speech function. A plus for a reader.

Saw the genre. Funnily enough it doesn't have bl, gl or LGBTQ but straight out Yuri and yaoi.

Got a gallery for your characters photo and introduction.

The site is also monetized, so yeah you can earn money there.

So far so good, but I'm still going to 'shop' around the recommended platform before deciding to go to this place.

I would recommend using Pinya since this site allows publishing both webcomics and webnovels (also it's LGBTQ friendly and anti-AI like Tapas)

@MickC I just checked pinya and it does allow mature content, but the policy I read was kinda vague on that. How far can we take the nsfw and mature content there? Unless I missed the guidance on their help section.

Can confirm I have seen explicit sexual intercourse on comicfury, as long as you tag you're fine there. EDIT: https://comicfury.com/rules.php <- link yo the comicfury TOS (the only question here being I guess how far to furry art can you go before it becomes bestiality, but adult human smut is fine)

Piggybacking on this, does anyone know of a site that does both comics and novels? I have one here on Tapas that started as a comic, ended as a novel, that I'm trying to figure out where I can take to.

Checking fables. Certainly made by a comic artist (they said so). I don't particularly like how it looks but it's cool.

Got a section for mature and nsfw. Can access it without login, I can see d*ck and v*gina without any censorship in on eof the series. Tho it's up to you to censor it or not? Apparently need at least 24hours after publishing and checked by moderator before you can post mature content.

Monetization possible via ads but you need to email them first after you got like 5(?) views minimum. You own all your ads revenue.

I did not logging in and only checked a few comics so idk if they're okay with long scroll format. So far the one I checked only have page by page incidentally. I also wonder if they have limit for upload size.

Also I might be reading this wrong but if you marked one page/chapter as mature the whole series will be considered mature and no longer be in the general section and goes to the X section. Need confirmation.

I wonder what will become of triggering pages too.
