Recommendation for new place to host comic and novel + added review?

[AmysGames]

I don't really read NSFW stuff so I'm not the best person to ask, lol. I think you'd have a better chance contacting someone on NamiComi staff and asking about what's allowed.

Lemoon. Someone said they're expanding on novel (found this info from random reddit comment). Not sure if it's true but that'll be cool.

Have an app you can access on Google play or apple store.

Dedicated genre for bl, gl and LGBTQA!

Monetization possible after the comic have 5 episode. Unsure if it means if your chapter is only one page each update it'll count as 'episode'. Probably not. You get 70% of the revenue. And you can decide to lock your series or kept it free.

Very much favorable towards scroll comic, though you can upload the non scroll comic just fine, they'll just be read as a scroll comic format. As far as I know and see.

Got a tool on their site that let you format your comic to lemoon format or webtoon format. You can also cut panels.

Their terms of service and privacy is very very brief. Like super brief than any I've read (probably comic fury still won?)

Unfortunately they gave no info about mature content that can be published or what can't be published. Or what is their stance on AI.

Unless someone can redirect me to that.

I got the monetization info actually from their NEWS SECTION ABOUT TAPAS CLOSING. So idk man. Can't check the mature series since I'm not logging in.

Site looks neat and there's aapp so it looks good. I just need to find how far we can go with nsfw and stuff

Btw for some reason we need to fill a short Google form before signing in? Also I'm very specific on the definition of things so I wonder if they specifically mean strictly scroll format or any kind of webcomic media lol.

[silverraven0]

Currently dealing with a flu. Any info regarding lemoon and namicomi stance on AI and nsfw is appreciated.

[silverraven0]

Additional info regarding lemoon after I emailed them.

(Hopefully the text in the screen shot is readable)

Also confirmed that fanfiction is allowed. But just like other platform, monetization is not allowed.

Still waiting for a reply if we need censorship in the genitalia area but so far lemoon seems good! I've decided to make an account there (no need for invite code or the google form).

Still going to review the few platforms in recommendation. I probably going to try cross platform.

[silverraven0]

Additional info regarding nudity on lemoon. I'm very happy that we don't have to censor much.

proofreading and editing, tho I don't see anything about their gen ai Policy for cover or other

Good one any doubts still I can understand it would be so hectic when seeing Gen Ai images and some are saying prefer just plane background with title like standard webnovel format we respect the reader preferences and about the content warning is available for book wide and per chapter wide there are content warning(may be updated in future) And one can import their whole novel into our website with single click! Am here to answer guys any questions!

[silverraven0]

@AbyssKid Hello, since you're already here I want to ask another thing. I don't really know much about LLM and such, and how you're planning to use it to recognize ai writing, but does it mean you'll be feeding the writings to ai? Is this just one per one basis based on report or it's all novels in the site?

And the label warning for ai assisted is very much needed so reader can be sure of what they're consuming.

Also a little bit of improvement about the cover aside from the opt out from seeing ai cover. You can always get/buy a set of standard and stock cover picture licence. Like maybe a picture or the sea, a picture of a tree, a picture of a flower and such that can be used in many genre. Then have a 'create cover' where writers can choose the provided picture and some free fonts to use on their cover.

It is more ethical this way rather than having ai cover and this is a practice many web novel sites used!

I really wish there won't be too much ai cover in the site since when people see ai cover, they immediately think that 'this site support ai writing ' or 'this novel use ai cover. They must be written by ai' kind of preconception, so it's hard to get into the site and gave it a chance.

[Palamon]

Ao3 allows ai content, sadly.

Manga plus Creator.

By shueisha, a real Japanese manga publication company. They have monthly challenge of some sort and you can win 1 million yen for the best one and a chance for your comic to be published on manga plus.

You can submit draft/name, not completed comic with final artwork. Tho they might not publish it if your comic did not have ea proper illustration.

Can upload up to 100pages.

You can oy choose to have your comic in vertical or page by page. You can't change it after you upload them.

No LGBTQA genre. There's 'other' but yeah.

For some reason moderation is s*it so you'll be seeing loads of ai stuff right in the front page. I unfortunately cannot find any clause regarding ai either so I did not know what their stance on itr. ¯\(°_o)/¯

For some reason have a clause that said your account can be suspended or deleted if you're inactive for 6 months???

Most likely fan creation is not permitted.

Explicit nsfw is not permitted, and you must censor genitalia. In this case gore and extreme violence is also not permissable.

They don't directly share your information, but there's a few ways it could happen and one of them said something about 'if we're outsourcing'. Tbh I'm not completely sure what this means so it might be best if you read their privacy policy and conclude by yourself.

Honestly it's up to you if you want to try publishing your series or not here. Who knows you might get the first prize. (Don't give up!)

[nostalgicroxas]

Thank you for compiling all this info.
I was looking for a site to move my novel to myself as pretty much most I had found before Tapas were either dying or just had bots.

[AbyssKid]

Firstly peep
1. Hell nah... we were never going to feed novels to llm, that's fucking icky
2. Human reviewers + there is a dedicated report as ai button on every single chapter, so we review it whenever we get reports.
3. Ai assisted also is not for any ai writing, that is indeed straight out banned regardless. We think authors should make the mistakes, learn paragraphing and other stuff as they write.
4. Dev team is trying to put a waterprint scanner that scans all covers for LLM use, for further discussion on how we are doing this, you can talk with the founder on discord or email admin@novelpedia.net LLM is only for AI covers not feeding the book. Don;t worry
5. We recently made a public statement banning all ai text and images from our forum called Tavern, and deleted all content that was posted there that violated it if we find it or reported.
All of us hate slop.

[silverraven0]

Glad to hear that. I hope you guys can stay true to your promises and improve for the betterment of the platform!

Also, do consider to have a free cover maker for the novels, even the most basic ones is better than AI gen covers.

[mohdadeebace]

You can check out Pinya. It's like Tapas, it supports both comics and novels on a single platform
I already shifted my work and Uploaded a new work there. So do check out those if you visit.

[Lancy_Glider]

Ao3 is for fanfiction

[silverraven0]

@Lancy_Glider Oh, you can absolutely put out original project on ao3. I'm not familiar with their rules regarding that unfortunately.

[AbyssKid]

You can put originals but it should be fannish in nature, and it doesn;t allows any links to patreon ko-fi etc and it has lesser visibilty as it was based on fan fictions more

[AbyssKid]

Gotcha! Thanks buddy!

[silverraven0]

Pinya.

Their help page is kinda broken for me. It show up only sometimes. Currently it hides everything from me and I can't see anything. So anything in their help section will be skipped.

Got a mobile app.

Yes for LGBTQ, bl/yaoi and gl/Yuri.

No AI, only permitted in the use of grammar checking and the like.

Nsfw I think is allowed thought I don't know how far can we go, kinda vague? Unfortunately cannot see any example because we need to login to read it.

According to shadowmarksenpai there's a teen and mature rating you can put on your series but I wish for a more detailed nsfw policy.

Have a policy that said that even if you do anything like harassment or doxing a pinya user outside pinya, you still can be banned.

Cannot use any TM or copyright material without permission, so like, fancreation is not allowed if you do not have any permission from original copyright holder. Cannot be monetized, but you can if the og creator gave you permission.

Multiple ways to get monetization. Ads, episode lock and stuff. Unsure of specific.

They did not allowed tracing and plagiarism.

They're open for acquisition, merger and the like. So there's a chance they'll sell the platform if they want to.

Anyway if anyone who got an pinya account that's over 18+, if you can tell me how far the nsfw you can see there that would be great.

[AbyssKid]

Check this buddy we announced our verdict and soon we will tag the AI covers and removal or replacement is done
