I would like to propose that the character limit of 15,000 be removed (or at the very least increased by triple). I believe that it would be very beneficial to some creators who want to write longer chapters and episodes. Please consider this change. Thank you for your time.

Agreed. I was stunned when I first started uploading my novel. I couldn't even fit all of my first chapter in there.

I suspect that's there to encourage a tighter upload schedule. And keep in mind, this is a platform majorly directed to mobile users who read stuff on-the-go. Our readers aren't only on PCs.

The Tapas novel system isn't designed to work like a regular fiction host, just like their comic episode system isn't designed to work like a comic chapter, which confused a lot of comic creators early on.

The idea is that you post shorter episodes that are quick to read. It's a bit weird to get used to, but you can generally break your chapters down into individual scenes that fit the character limit. That's what I did with my 6k-words-per-chapter sci-fi to post it here.

So I am curious - how big is the limitation on comics? How does it work?

For comics, you can post up to 40 images per episode (which is so that the site can support those long, vertical, Korean-style webcomics), and a lot of us initially put whole chapters into single episodes without realising that it's actually really hard for readers to handle a single episode with 40-odd pages in it.
