I can't wait to post stuff like this. So far I only got 1 comment from 10 accounts on all my comics about checking out their cam site. I obviously deleted them. Then I got a nice one saying they liked it and subscribed, so I guess that counts (I subbed back to thank them not a half bad story either).

I haven't gotten tons of comments on Tapas for my series. I have had quite a few readers say that my work reads really naturally and they didn't have to "think" when they read it. They could just sit down and enjoy it without having to put on their "editor"/feedback glasses.

Another girl thought my work was fanfiction and desperately wanted to know more about the fandom. I was super flattered.

God...what a story! Just what a story! I don't even know where to start: from Pollyanna's story to this curse...wow. Just wow! And I just LOVE the conflict between then: Eory, who wants to be good and do the right thing, and Pollyanna, who wants him to just give up on the whole charade because she's seen it all...what a conflict! Can't wait to read what's coming up next!

I routinely get comments along the lines of, "HOW IS HE SO CUTE AND CREEPY AT THE SAME TIME??" Like bruh I don't know either. How you can find a toothy demonic toon to be so cute is beyond me.

Also, on a different note, I understand the age gap anxiety thing. One of the more frequent ships in my comic is between a 19 year old ruler and her 33 year old servant (/bodyguard). Both are adults of consenting ages, and both very closely bonded to eachother with a good dynamic. So fingers crossed it continues to be as well recieved as it has been, because for whatever reason it is by far the most popular ship of my characters.

Anywho, back to the comments thing. When I first posted my chapter one cover art, I had three different people call it beautiful and I just remembered sobbing in my chair, shakily holding onto my phone. Nobody had ever used that word to describe my work and it just hit me really hard.

Honestly, I'm not sure I can pinpoint a single comment because I've gotten so many kind and thoughtful comments. There are two readers who have read and commented on every single chapter... While I don't expect anyone to do that as I'm not owed anything by anyone... That just means a lot to me. Because it tells me they genuinely enjoy my concepts and characters (which are a bit dark tbh). Then I've gotten several comments on the "cinematic" style I went for in chapter one which makes me happy. (Happy that people got what I was going for.) I've also had sweet comments about my girls Stellar, Chasma, and Tilde which delights me seeing my ocs so loved... (This whole comment is a bit rambling but Tapas is the first writing site I've had such lovely engagement. It gives me hope and makes me power on! )

This one was left on my chapter called Mistress of Rats, from a 2018 novel. The story talks about the inscrutable Contagion:

2020 is the year of the rat, and here we meet a celestial who controls them. There's a pandemic right now, and the same thing is in this story. NOW, MY QUESTION IS: ARE YOU A SEER, DOMI? DID YOU SEE COVID COMING? Can you tell me the winning lottery numbers for next month, please?
