Share your favourite scene that you've drawn!

It can be a panel, it can be a sequence of panels, it can be an entire page!

I'd like to see scenes that you're proud of or enjoyed making so far and let's just talk about it, you guys.. Making comics can be extremely frustrating or mundane, so I want to remind myself (and perhaps yourself) of the good times, the rewarding times, the times that make us realise once again our love for making comics. Pat yourself on the back for a sec, we all deserve to.

This is one of my favourite sequences to plot out and colour (I didn't do the final lineart, my friend @blackbeartjf did) for our comic Homezone. It took me the longest to colour and I had such a difficult time trying to get the exact look that I wanted for the sequence that by the end of it I just kept saying in my head "I haaaate it I hate it" but once I finished, I was relatively proud of how it looked (and also just happy it was done). So ya know, it brought me a lot of grief but I also found it very rewarding in the end.

I'm personally proud of this scene, it takes up 3 pages in the first issue of my new comic series "Dobble & Ed: A Door Revisited". Can't really say why, I guess because I feel it plays out well and I'm happy with the clouds in the second frame. Honestly I have a few other scenes I really like but I'm not gonna take up any more post space lol.

I really like the way the most recent scene from my comic, Aetherwing , turned out. I have a really difficult time with environments and locations and this was one of the first times I was genuinely proud of how it came out. Also I got to introduce some new characters and that's always exciting!

mines definitly page 31 of DUST mostly because when i was working on it i figured out how to use the select by color tool in gimp! jesus christ it changed the way i dreaw forever!

This panel here was so fun to color and draw. It was a challenge because I wanted to draw someone who was really pretty... but looked like she would be a real mean person...then I got to practice makeup (Something I wanted to practice.) And over all I think it turned out nice.

Awesome that you keep challenging yourself! And the environments look great, nice contrast on the grand hallway and the tight, cluttered office. I have mixed feelings about drawing environments too, they're fun to design but executing them can be real tough (especially when you start putting complex angles and perspectives into the mix!)

Haha I'm glad you figured that out. I draw digitally but still use a traditional approach. I know it's easier to use certain features, but it just feels right to fix your mistakes with the eraser tool, ya know?

Man I had a such a hard time deciding between 3 different pages but I finally chose this one because layout wise it's probably one of my most successful/unique one and everything just seemed to fall into place as far as the coloring. It's remained one of my strongest pages even though it's pg 2 and my comic skills have increased greatly since then.

From the climax of Voidcall. This was the first page I drew and was basically the initial idea for the comic.

The most recent page of Capefall, a police detective comforts a supervillian after the death of her superhero.

It has got to be the this pre-fight-scene sequence from part 3 of Grassblades, which starts off like this:

I'm really proud of how that last page came out, and I feel like the whole thing flows pretty well.

Ah, @Airgita, I love the colours across those and the lines angling to push your eye along the sequence work very well! It's crazy that you hated it for the longest before you ended up being proud of how it turned out. Usually artists work in the opposite of that, hah! It's a really solid lay of colours, though. The consistent bluish-grey across is livened up nicely with the jets of yellow.

Personally, there's actually a really old page I made around 2007-8(?) from an older series of mine with a great little layout that just came together so easily. I still really like it even with the weak art and terrible font! It looks nice, I love the colours, the joke was pretty kitschy but it's fun!

From my new comic There's No Such Thing as Jason -- I.T., I really, really enjoyed the flashback insert. In it's standard format, it mimics the composition of a previous page in which the flashback concludes. I love the rhythm of the angles across them. But in long-scroll format, it looks really sleek! The rhythm isn't there however it manages to pull focus on the shapes and the characters' perspectives (for me at least!).

Oh man I'm a really self-loving peson so I end up enjoying most of what I do;;; My most favourite scene hasn't been drawn yet but so far the most fun one is probably page 5 of my comic.

However, I'm kind of really fond of the next page. I ended up changing it a lot from my draft - instead of doing several small images of the hallways, I opted for one big panel. It was to save time, actually... But I think it ended up taking longer :'D (Working on smth like this, when you actually do know what the building's layout is, is pretty rewarding)

This one! I like it because of the shatter(?) effect on the skin and the movement on the second panel. Love to experiment with this type of visuals

My favorite scene so far in my comic that I have uploaded is this.
What's going on is my protaganist Ani (Anakreon) meets his classmate in the morning pretty much. It serves as an introduction to the character of Kay (Kathai).

He hates that nickname but everyone calls him that because Anakreon is a very strange name. Why is he called that? Well you'll just have to wait and see XD
