Today I would like to make another post about heroes and antagonist.
I would like to you to share who is the hero in your comic and the antagonist and then describe how do you feel about them.
I will start
The situation in my comic (BL/YAOI) Gloomy Night is kind of complicated because the one who before used to be the hero now is the bad guy and the one who before used to be the antagonist... now he is kind of the hero...
And what I fell about them... (obviously I love them because they are my babies XD) but also I feel pity for both of them. Both of them have a lot of traumas.

I write a fantasy story and there are a lot of antagonists, but I'll share the main ones. These are the main ones for My Friends in Distantland. Some spoilers ahead, be wary.

Main hero: Cathryn

Cathryn is an 8 year old girl. Her basic shtick is that she's a know-it-all who doesn't actually know it all. After meeting a vampire who doesn't want to drain her blood, she starts questioning the world around her and grows skeptical of the things she's been taught. Because of the antagonist, she also gains powers related to fear. Instead of using it to hurt people, she wants to use it to understand fear and help people overcome the things that are eating them up inside.

Main Antagonist: Jacko

Basically, he is a spectral creature with no physical form of his own. He can shape-shift into anything he likes, but usually takes a wolf-like form. His specialty is breaking people's psyche through fear, but he wants a physical vessel to cause real destruction. He tries to possess Cathryn's body because no one would expect a little girl to do something awful. It would've given him the element of surprise. The process is broken, though, so now Cathryn is left with a piece of Jacko inside her.

i have a few main "heroes" (more like just protagonists or anti heroes??) in SPIRE and most of my antagonists are gonna be revealed slowly (hell, the main main antagonist wont show up until like halfway through the first big arc)

My characters are all vampires so that already puts them in kind of a "morally gray" area. The narrative switches focus from character to character every once in a while but it'll mostly stick to these main ones:



(i don't have full detailed art for randall or victor yet but hope these suffice)

MMMMMMY villains have barely even begun to show up but some who i've already revealed are:

alpha T, also kind of a morally gray character. They (and p much the whole human race) genuinely believe that they're doing the right thing by reducing the vampire population. Has a better moral clock than the other alphas since they were built for intelligence rather than physical strength.

Peacock is a hired mercenary that's losing waaaay too much business since the robotic hunters have shown up. Really self centered and too concerned about how he looks all the time. Really wants a gf but nobody likes him lmao. Coming up in chapter 3.

Black Rose, not really a villain but is responsible for like every bad thing that happens in chapter 3 and feels nothing about it. He's able to see future timelines and likely outcomes (think Garnet's future vision) and rules over a kingdom of plant people. He doesn't directly interfere with anything but instead gets other people to carry out his wishes. Coming up in chapter 4.

i really don't want to spoil the main main antagonist but i've done a lot of talk abt him and revealed his design and species on my patreon BBB)))))))))))))))))))))))))))

My hero Lizzy (above) is a magical advisor. She always does her best to help others with supernatural problems. She has mostly read about the supernatural and is still a beginner when facing the magical IRL ^^;

Then she meets Prim (below). A wannabe super villain who likes to steal supernatural artefacts. Her success rate is.... uneven. ^^;;; She likes cute things and mostly dresses in pink / pastel colors. But she describes her own clothing style as cool and tuff. ^^ She is emotional, over dramatic and likes to make up amazing stories about her origin as a supervillian that probably is never true...

Lizzy and Prim usually finds them selfs in conflict. Prim breaks in to Lizzys house on a regular bases. Actually so often Lizzy is getting used to it and accepts it as one of the struggles of everyday life ^^

They are kind of frenemies at this point. Lizzy finds Prim annoying but Prim on the other hand really wants to be Lizzys best friend LOL XD

At one point they had to pretend to be a couple which Prim had a lot of fun with ^^

I think their weird relationship will just get stranger haha

Grassblades' protagonist is Masahiro, the grumpiest grump to ever grump:

... while the antagonist(s) are Lord Kobayashi and his right-hand woman Wen, who are a match for Masahiro's grumpiness level.

... Although the real antagonist is, of course, Masahiro's tendency to mess things up entirely on his own, with no outside interference. Poor man.

and i got a buncha villains: heres 3/5 robots that showed up so far but theyre kinda just the robot-of-the-week villains

Quite a while until the antagonist shows up, but here are some pictures of Wednesday7's protagonist, Mercury Jenkins! I would say the thing I find most interesting about him is that he can be kind of ditsy and flustered most of the time but can get pretty serious quickly as well.

Jed and Serge are the hero and antagonist of West respectively. They function as the foils of one another moving towards the same goal with dfferent intentions. At their most basic Jed is ice, Serge is fire, Jed is emotionally guided, Serge is logical, Jed is kindness, Serge is vengence, etc etc, though they're both far more complicated than that. So far they've had their first tussle and gone their seperate ways (or been thrown under the bus, in Jed's case), and I can't wait to show how their relationship develops over the course of the story as they meet again and again in various parts of the world, getting to know one another better and nuturing their weird little rivalry. With Morris and another secondary character thrown into the mix their interactions also gets much more light hearted and funny at times. I can't wait, honestly. It's going to be so nice to show there's more to Serge than it seems.

For my comic on Tappastic, Patterns in Snow, my heros are Raphael and Lina

And their antagonist(s) is firstly the murderer, they are searching for, whoose Identity I can´t reveal, but that´s him:

these are pretty much their final antagonists. Tough the story is not that easy. For a part of the story even my two heros act as antagonists. They have to fight numerous unexpected enemies. But they are pretty much the most evil (or are they ^^)

Haha, I've got quite a ways to go before the main antagonist of Galebound gets revealed for real, but what the heck:

The...err....yeah I can't call him a hero, but here's the protagonist, Conan:

Such zeal. So much enthusiasm. He's a good guy, albeit cynical; he's just having an extraordinarily bad day that's about to get much worse. The best way to describe him is "despite first impressions...". He's actually quite gentle and intelligent, and a little self-deprecating.

Aaaand the main antagonist, the woman who's going to make his life very difficult (well, actually, she already has):

She's seductive and powerful, coy and playful, and she will literally stop at nothing to fulfill her goal. Unfortunately for Conan, he's already neck deep in her machinations, but she hasn't yet realized just how perfectly Conan's very existence suits her goals. When she does, he's screwed.

Everyone else has a lifetime membership to the heel-face-revolving-door club.

Okay, so for my space opera SPEJS, I have 4 protagonists:

From left to right:
Ragna Korppi: a grumpy sniper lady.
Swagata Yadav: Founder of SPEJS, hacker and generally a very nice, but cheeky lady.
Morwen of Gilios: A magic weilding and pretty fierce lady who has left her home planet and cushy life as an accountant to join SPEJS and get more adventures in her life.
Gav Moroz: The team's big and soft pilot dude! He can fix and drive pracically any vehicle!

As for the antagonists, they vary with each chapter!

This lady made life hard for Ragna and Gav in the first chapter! She's from the same planet as Morwen and a fierce magic-weilding lady!

This charming dude is making life kinda crappy for Swagata and Morwen in the current chapter running here at Tapastic

Right now I'm thumbnailing the next chapter which will feature this charming person as the next antagonist! I hope you'll hang around until that chapter starts, because it's gonna be awesome

Okay so I have a protagonist party of 5ish but some of them are, uh, mysterious????, so probably these two are the Main-main protagonists:

Severian (left) and Tareth (right) are best friends!! Sev has shapeshifting powers that he is not very responsible with, and Tareth tries very hard to be responsible enough for both of them.
Starting the story with two friends with an established relationship actually proved to be a significant storytelling challenge, but I really enjoy how they interact. x3 They're getting on each other's case all the time LIKE GOOD FRIENDS DO

As far as antagonists go, nobody knows what's up with the various maybe-sinister people in the background, but most of them seem to be connected to this weird cult, so let's just go with them as the Antagonists for now:

Quentin (the fellow who clearly needs sleep) leads the cult, and Esra (with the James-from-Pokemon haircut) is his often underappreciated and constantly anxious second-in-command. It's... unclear whether they have a sinister plan or are in completely over their heads.

For the main protags of 'VTGtaHR' I just have this ugly pic:

Julian (on the left), Apollo (On the right). Uuum... Apollo is a brat and Julian is a work-mule. If I didn't like them I wouldn't work with them, but my general feelings are indifferent.

For my antagonist. I can not show a picture of them, or say their name yet, I want to see if I can pull this antagonist's reveal off as a surprise. But they are supposed to be charming. With them I also feel mostly indifferent, if not a little entertained since I have more fun with villainous characters than nice ones.

Geez, here everyone put in these heart-felt posts about their characters and I'm like "meh". Lmao!

My cartoon, Candace 'n' Company, is more of a newspaper comic strip, poking fun at everyday life. So my two characters are Candace the hero (on the floor), and her Best-Frenemy-Forever and roommate Megan, the antagonist!

For Paisley Brickstone the Protagonist is Harvey Mammaroth.

He's a REAL QUIET dude and gets stuck doing things for others a lot due to his, uh, "heroic" nature. Like any video game hero, he just gets stuck doing everyone elses chores, and isn't really all that in control of his own destiny.

The antagonist as we know so far, is this hell beast:

It was only just revealed yesterday and so far it's only known purpose is to hunt.

As for PERILOUS JOURNEY, The protagonist is Ramiel Fairfax:

We don't know too much about him so far beyond being weirdly against being perceived as a hero by these people he supposedly saved.

The only antagonist we've seen so far is supposedly dead, and he's known as the Dread Pirate Amduscias:

Slaying people with his devil music on a wretched keytar since the dawn of time.

For Welcome Back The somewhat main protagonist Mallena is in the bottom middle of the first picture, other protagonists are Jacob top left, Lucy next to him, under him is Li and on the bottom right is Kris and In the bottom picture is Paul. They all explore a strange dreamworld and have strange counterparts to them some who resemble them, some who look entirely different.

There are also a lot of antagonists as well. Jacob on top serves as the major antagonist for the most part, being a twisted form of his real life self. The deer in the lower part is another doppelgänger of jacob. The shadow creature next to him isn't really an antagonist but rather part of a group strange morally ambiguous creatures.

There also exists a group of people who overlook a strange facility kidnaping people. Their leader is amy who seems almost not human. In the lower picture are two twins who prey on various characters and do mysterious "harvests". Next to them is a ghostly manic version of Li who will serve as an antagonist eventually.
