Khaliah pov

The harsh breeze dances while the chaos dances alongside in its trance. At a glance, freedom seems to be at such a far distance. They say the world is green but can we really see the earth's true colours despite how much we humans coat it thick with a lovely shade of our own blood.

But I also find myself trying to uncoat the bloodiest layers of the world. Dancing on the the high mountain within the darkness, I was trying to reach the star that would help me uncover the bloody coat of the world. Happiness. That was a dream yet stood between me and the bright star were so many layers. Borders.

The screams was quiet not because they were staring down but because I was deaf in my left ear and on my left was the pitiful reality I was stuck in.

Yes, it was dangerous that I was standing on a mountain so close toward such chaos and violence but whether an arrow pierces my heart filled with hopes and dreams or I simply fall to my death trying to reach the star that shines so brightly in the dark world I live in. It didn’t matter because miracles have a greater chance of happening in a life-and-death situation.

RIONA POV

The air was filled with the pungent smell of blood as crows gathered around feasting on my once lovely kingdom.

It was cold, stiff, and numb. I've been at this for hours now at least, laying everyone down into their eternal slumber while I remain behind..

Another familiar body in my hands. The knell's constant ring reminds me that they're all gone. She was gone, never to return. The last gift she gave me now rests in my hands, a red ribbon, her white ribbon. Now tainted by her blood. I close my eyes, turning away from her, trying to run from my guilt. I tie my hair up with the ribbon as the ghost of a memory haunts my mind.
