I am thinking about including some illustrations in my novel and I am wonder...

What is a good size for illustrations so that they aren't too big or two small?

Are people OK with illustrations being b/w or grayscale?

Personally, I don't have any problem with illustration. If I were to write a novel, I'd probably add a couple of illustrations here and there if I had the luxury of time to do so.
As for wether b/w or grayscale or colored, well........I think that is totally on your preference and which option would really compliment the tone or vibe of your story
If you were doing a detective story or maybe horror, you could probably go for b/w but if u're doing something less serious, maybe comedy then colored would be a better option. At least in my opinion. At the end of the day, it all comes down to what you prefer, what suits you best.

Not sure about the size, but I've seen some novels with black/white illustrations and people seemed to like them, so I'd say go for it! I've posted some art in my books before, just like, character art and the size didn't seem to matter too much.

I’ve got images in my novels. Colour is probably better for online, but if you want to publish it B&W would be better

i like black and white and gray scale images. I think they work better in novels, personally because they don't stand out TOO much since the rest of the page (text and paper) are also black and white.

Been thinking about commissioning a illustration for my first chapter/ maybe for the entire volume.
I'm actually checking different artist to find a style that meshes with me.
