Share your worst ever pages

Basically pages where when you look back at them you really really want to slap yourself. Or even made you worry that your readers would want to slap you.

Maybe you weren't feeling it that day or you were so nervous because this page would be the first appearance of a character. Don't be shy! This thread isn't to show how bad you are, but to show that you're not the only one who has crappy moments. I'm sure all your comics are amazing.

And please please do not use this thread to post a fancy looking piece of art here. If you feel pride when you look at it (which is okay), then you know this thread isn't for you. This thread is for me and others to feel better and laugh together. I have faith that your comic is awesome, but please promote it somewhere else.

And no mean comments! We're not here to be mean to each other.

I'll start with mine. It was the first ever introduction of my first character. I guess I was too nervous...? To this day I still want to punch myself for this thing. I'd post another pic with my main character being Mr. Smushface, but I'll save your eyes lol.

Found a page from a comic I did a while ago when I was 14. Art only got somewhat decent by the end of the 4 years I spent working on it.

Comic I'm uploading now I started at 17. Anatomy waivers a lot. I was still trying to get the anime out of my system.

The 2nd part I plan to upload the anatomy has improved a lot. These comics had my worse anatomy issues starting out.

Awhaha, this is awesome! WORST EVER PAGES, something to flex that critical eye (as if it doesn't get enough exercise).

I think my worst page would be a pretty old one. One of my first solid comic attempts, Hi5.

THIS IS THE CHARACTER REVEAL. I remember getting a few comments talking about how boring it was! The mc just... appears after all this build-up in a boring, slightly punky pose with a very blase line. It was hilarious, I hadn't even really thought about pacing until after the response was like, "?? That's it??" And it's quite a murky mess otherwise, heh^^

OK, I am limiting it only to stuff I did recently but this was from a comic I did back in 2013 and this page....

So the girl is talking to the boy yet they are facing away from each other and the third panel is so crowded that the two men look like they are having sex. Dear lord.

My ability to draw action scenes has always been wanting, this coupled the blank background makes it a pretty sorry sight.

I can't complain about the writing, the writing is good (I'm not the only one writing, which makes it good) I have a really talented team and we work well together.

God, just look at this piece of trash. XD The proportions are all wrong, the shadows don't make any sense, and that dumb hair curl is wrong in both panels.

Ahhh! So many replies. I read every single one of them. A lot of your worst ones have many good traits to them, like good mood setting or use of color. This can only mean your other pages are even more awesome!

@NickRowler yes! I know! I have so much trouble with planning out conversation, how to make it flow, not be boring... Good use of grey tones (although I have zero experience with them)

I think out of all the pages of my comic, Neon Rabbit, this is my least favourite. It took me twice as long as my pages usually take, it turned out nothing like what I pictured in my head and I ended up going back and fixing it 3 times (I am talking major overhauls, not just fixing small problems). As a result of all this I have bad feels for this page...

I have many bad comic and episodes series but I'll just show one from my current series I have posted. This was from my first comic year here. It's not so much the art is bad it just the joke fell so flat I think it made a hole in the floor. (which several were like that but this is the worst I think) I was trying different things trying some new characters which I decided were better suited elsewhere. I strive for better jokes/artwork etc now which make for longer production time for the next one to be posted unfortunately. :/

Lol your screen tone skills were better than mine at the point. I used to think we had to draw them out BY HAND. Every single grey scale patten. Those days are over thank goodness, smh. I've switched to full color 😅

Here's a page from my old comic that just looks ugly, lol.

All the faces and expressions look so lopsided! All my backgrounds are empty and my anatomy was terrible. Still! I'm happy that I've gotten better since then, and I still love the story to this comic and want to redo it someday.

I think this is from 6th or 7th grade??? It's from a REALLY old Hell Conglomeration comic of blatant self insert, NiGHTS Into Dreams and Kingdom Hearts (but its not kingdom hearts its my own original NiGHTS fancomic Do Not Steal(TM) )

I think I also tried to shade this digitally in gimp using the select tool and the smudge brush? i know i did with some of the pages (some of them were digital and some were on copy paper for some reason?? the digital ones are long gone now, though). I still have almost all of them in my cabinet and I think about them every time I start to think my current stories are bad.

ahaha, this page of my practice comic has always been my least favorite, hands down. It's just so, so gross, especially the technical elements. The writing is unclear, the panels are poorly executed and REALLY confusing, the anatomy, the bubble placement… ugh, I just hate this whole page so much.

On the bright side, I'm redrawing this comic (for additional practice ahaha) and so I'll soon completely scrap this page, reformat/write/draw the whole thing so that it's beautiful, and then never think about it again! hallelujah.
