I like to write short stories on the side so I don't get bored of my main projects, please suggest ideas or plot hooks! I like simple stories like studio ghibli movies, My Beautiful Girl Mari, and In this Corner of the World
Its more like a series of short stories, but linked together by an object. A hat or knife that follows for one day one character before being exchanged or lost to a another.
Maybe look into folktales from different cultures and add your own twist? I have noticed as a reader they make some interesting stories and are easy to write as both short and novel length.
well, what's your definition of a short story? If it's a novella then I get that, or is it something between 10k words or less?
