aaaaaaaaa I'm just about to introduce Cath's mother in There was a War! I'm dead excited.

(this is some cheeky spoilers right here)

Her name's Neamh (neve) and i really love her as a character bc shes very complicated. also, a lot of characters in TWAW are currently pretty isolated from eachother, but Neamhs character and story are inherently intertwined w Cath's, which make them both really interesting to write, especially together.

she had Cath when she was very young, and unmarried. the former was pretty normal, the latter... not. due to that and other stigma she was forced to leave home with Cath when she was barely speaking age. They traveled around for years, stopping with random men for the winter who Neamh charmed some, and then they ran with whatever they could carry. Cath's kinda messed up abt that, and theres bitterness there, but she really really loves her mum - her happiest times were when it was just them on the road.

shes a very messed up person, which i think is partially inspired by my own mum, i guess. but shes so dedicated to her daughter and, in her own way, puts her before everything else.

She's dead now, so, yeah. :/

My 2nd MC in my comic Crow's Worth is a mother. She plays a much larger part in the comic than her son.

I only have one mom in my comic so far.
She doesn't have a name yet other than Mrs Campbell. I never bothered naming her because no one calls her by her name...
She's a great mom that loves her kids, husband and dog. Her husband is on a mission during my story, and she is unemployed.
She's the kind of mom that tries to be best friends with her kids. Her daughter is okay with that, but her son hates it and wants her to get a hobby.

I don't really have a drawing of her other than some panels where she's in, but I made a cute wedding picture of her and Mr Campbell some time ago. They had a big, very fancy, expensive wedding.

How weirdly appropriate how my main character's mom just showed up in the comic again for the first time in a while, lol.

Here's Sanori with her mom, Shannon! Sanori definitely takes more after her dad, both appearance and personality-wise, and is often annoyed by her mom's exuberantly social personality. That said, though they don't always get along well, Sanori holds a lot of respect for her mother for everything she's done for her over the years.

The deuteragonist (secondary-protagonist) of Cosmic Fish is the only one confirmed to be a "mom" so far. (There may be others)

Here's Liz Regionson, mom of Jonny Regionson Jr aka The J-Man. On the right is how she appears in the present at age 40, and left is her at 21 (for a prequel):

She hasn't appeared much in the comic but she will have a nice since with Jonny at the end of the current issue. And she'll have a starring role in the prequel special coming out after #5. She's more lively and jokey than her husband. Though Jonny wants to please his dad and focuses on him, he's more open to and talks with his mom despite seemingly ignoring her, which is how I felt my relationship with my parents was like.

The only slightly important mum that has appeared so far in Malleus Maleficarum is Lucy, who is a young foster mum. She's not exactly the best mum in the universe, but she cares for Alice in her own way. Blunt and occasionally ill-mannered, she is uncannily overprotective of Alice, often resorting to comical violence xD In other words, do not hit on her daughter.

Here's a few mothers from my comic Home is a Distant Wish:

First there's Beni! She's a brand new mother and still kinda new to the experience. However she's generally a very caring person and mothers everyone around, so motherhood suits her. (Her inspiration was Moominmamma, hehe.)

Then there's Nkapu's mom, who hasn't made an appearance in the actual comic yet. She's a single mother but it was never a problem for her. She's very independant and strong-willed, and she's really been the biggest inspiration in Nkapu's life. (I have so many ideas of short comics about her that I want to draw but I don't have the time, bleh.)

There are a few others but they have a smaller part or revealing them now would be a bit of a spoiler, so these will do for now.

caravan takes on a bit of a caretaker role for the others as their medic and keeps them from getting themselves killed.
she's a little more on the 'aggressively caring' side but her intentions are good

I never shown Luke's mom in Hollow Creek but Suitemates misfits the Drake's mom is shown , she's Brittish and she loves her four children with all her heart and her husband too but she can be a bit overbearing to Lana at times , her name is Katherina Drake (née Mills)
