this is fantastic!!! So proud of you!
I LOVE these threads. So awesome seeing everyone's improvement. <3
Here is some of mine!old early 2000s
And here is recent:
I still have a long way lol. But I really enjoy the journey.
I really like your art style!! Very good job!! <3
So I used a WIP as my redraw because I got bored of coloring but 2007
2014 & 2017! honestly starting a comic helped me get out of my art comfort zone alot more than i could on my own and its been a really fun challenge so far.
Same! Starting a comic was the best thing I could have ever done for my art! It really makes you draw stuff you never would have, and you're also drawing more often than before (at least in my case). Your art looks great!
My art has changed a bunch in under a year - I'm still trying to figure out and hammer down digital inking/coloring.
The welcome page is the best way to illustrate this:
The change in my art is very apparent in my main comic here:
And it's also pretty obvious in work I've posted here:
It's always cool seeing an artist journey as they grow over time so it's awesome seeing threads like these!
Originally i drew Henri like this but later realized i needed to make a design that was easier for a comic.
THIS NEW STUFF IS AWESOME you've come so far!
hoo boy... lets scrape the bottom of the barrel shall we? go all the way back? as far as my computer can go?
for a minute there, I was like "heeey, is that YOU?!"
the evolution is AMAZING I can see tinges of your current style in your older work. it's really cool!
thank you!! i agree, i can see elements of consistency too.
EDIT: aww i only saw your stuff for a second, but i love the colours and lines in your latest work, its so cute and vibrant!!
imma show you my comic improvement first--
Sep 2016
Oct 2017
now for art and stuffjune 2016
I don't see this as that much of an improvement in my art style over a year period but I guess its something2016
I should love these (altough somethimes it just feels like i keep regressing not getting better D:
2014 (back when I actually tried)
2015 (when there was actually some emotion in my work)
2016 (when I tried to convince myself I was still getting better)
2017 (where I am depressed about drawing anything but simplistic comic with simplistic shading, donĀ“t know why and dread myself)
....canĀ“t wait for next year.
Oldest drawing (2005)
VS Newest (2017)
Same character, old design in 2007
VS re-design 2017
