Yep.
Hahahaha thank you so much!
lol why not, backgrounds are the only thing i've even half competent at
and here's a really, really early wip
i like to make up for my incredible inability to draw buildings by spamming fucking trees and shit all over.
Here are some backgrounds from Whetstone:
New backgrounds from THE LAST SAMURAI
Mostly cartoony city shots in my comic right now. Here's some panels.
meeeee ?
I'm just crazy 8'D
Every panel is worked with the same detail level :'Dhttps://tapastic.com/series/Extinction
@trivialtales I love that style of yours! It's so colorful!! @c1gwendoline those backgrounds are simply amazing!! Love the one in yellow and brown, so beautiful!
I'm not that good with backgrounds but I truly enjoy making them. These are from Tsukiko: the moon child's wish This one is a split page, that is why it looks quite bad in the middle, sorry for that...
And from my other webcomic Wyrd
My comic's still quite young, but scenery is proving fun to make - the Irish coast is a beautiful place.
Thanks! Your style is really good too! Good to see some traditional, ink wash comics on here.
this is my kind of thread! I love environments, both looking and creating! They are my strength (or so I've been told!)
long story short, I think environments are the best. The setting of your story can be a character itself!
Not very good at it yet, but here's an attempt
Here are some of my faves from RAVEN KING ^^
I was pretty happy with the backgrounds on pages 16 and 17 of Symphorians
Heck yes!! Backgrounds are a lot of fun, but so time consuming TT_TT My co-creator Alan does all the background work for Kamikaze, and we do our best to make the world feel lived in and whole. There's a saying that "Your setting isn't a place it's a character," and that really rang true for us! So we do our best to do it justice.
Welcome to Trinity!
Some more scenery from: https://tapastic.com/series/magicadvisor
I just introduced a new continent, The Sand Continent THE LAST SAMURAI
The link is bad D: It can now be found here
i'm MMMM a recovering background hater so mine aren't extremely impressive but here's some of SPIRE's!!!
Backgrounds and scenery really are very hard, but hey part of why I'm making a comic is to practice the things I have a hard time with! So here's some pages from my comic The Soul Bound
