Some of these I've posted in the forum before but they are all concept sketches for a separate property than my ongoing comic. It's called Candy Crew. It would follow different candy themed teens and their misadventures in their private high and beyond. The whole concept is similar to Monster High or Rainbow High. Still workshopping a lot of ideas for this as a series, but I worked out a lot of character designs.
Some are better than others when it comes to representing the candies and confections they're based on, but that's just due to my own limitations when it comes to character design. Honestly, the best part about any of these characters are their names.

Fore these two, they're based on classic gumdrops (like Dots brand) and jelly beans. And even though I mention Dots here, for all the characters, I never wanted to base them on "brands" of candy, so there are no Snickers or Starburst character or anything like that. Lastly, Their names are Gumi Dropinski and Jella Beanard.

I think it obvious that one of these characters is based on candy corn, and her name is Cornelia Confit, and this other girl is based of lollipops. The thing is with, especially hard candy. There's a lot of variations and many things can qualify as a lollipops. So how do you work around this? You just, you just make more characters. This character's name is Lolli Poplin but she has siblings to represent other classic lollipops like the swirly rainbow ones.
Now we get into some characters whose candies are really not obvious.

These are Nu Gotelli and Citrius Pearl based off nougat and lemon drops.

Next Marzia Panis and Eden B. Rock based of marzipan and Edinburgh rock.
And then these two, based off black licorice and and salt water taffy
I actually have finished artwork of them. I think Corish came out great, but Tafticia will always be a favorite of mine.
