This is how I used to digitally paint starting out in late High school, early college (wasn't using photoshop back then, but some random program that came with my offbrand 3.5 inch 70 buck tablet. Believe it or not, I was way worse with photoshop starting out than I was in this program that gave me very yellow skin tones, but I have lost most of my Photoshop failures to computer crashes.)

I used to just draw dresses all day. Just all night and all day, tons of outfits (and also cats, but that's a whole other file). This was my only style.

Then fast-forward about 10 years and many other adapted styles later, this is how I paint now. Just a hell ton of Zelda fanart.

Too bad I don't have the time to paint like this for the insides of my comics. At least I can go ham on my cover.

The evoIution of my comic through the years. The two first attempts didn't go far x'D they're from ~2014, April 2016 and the last one is from March 2020. I've Iearnt how to make backgrounds >:D. (also, don't worry about that girl who's about to get burnt, I had to eliminate that idea completely from the comic because it didn't fit at all x'D)

AIso, iIIustration wise:

March 2016 vs december 2019 <3

Ahh everyone's improvements are so cool! I'm so proud of everyone <3

Here's to all of us continuing to improve in the future!! :tada:

Woah, your environments are mad good!! There's so much movement in them. they feel alive!

Have you considered going into concept art or visual development?

The newest page is definitely a lot more pro looking! The older page has a lot of charm to it, but you can tell with this new one that you've worked out how to compose a frame effectively!

I love how the second row of examples is "how to make better ship art" and I'm 100% in, they look awersome <33

Thank you! Then drawing a lot of people moving in comics is definitely helping

@AbelDraws :heart:
It's almost like they finally started doing something together :joy: oh, no, this went wrong in English lol
Btw, your illustration progress is fantastic, the second one is pure joy :blue_heart:

That’s really impressive! Now I need more OTP content :cry_01:

I love to see how much you’ve improved and all the time you’ve put into your babies. It’s really motivating to see it :cry_01:
Also Arckan’s babyness went x1000 with the years!

Yeah, even though I only started making comics this year, I've noticed an improvement already in my poses and character interactions. A lot more than just doing figure drawings and stuff.

Woah, those are some lonnggg abs on the 8 year old pic :joy:

I love how much more volume Teika's (?) hair has in the newer page. Is there a reason or is it just your style development?

Haha yes I drew waaay too long torsos until someone commented on it and I learned my lesson
The hair is partially just my style developement but he was also supposed to look more wimpy with the bowlcut in the beginning than he does now

English is a pain I feel you x'D and thanks!<33 I hope I see some nice improvement in 4 more years >:D. (hopefully in anatomy/muscles, but that's more a matter of me finding the time and energy to do figure drawing and reading a bit about the topic than letting time go by x'D)

Thank uu <33 I've mastered the art of drawing baby faces over the years x'D I can't wait to draw the boi as an adult tho ªªªªª (in the old illustration image he's 18~19 >u> I didn't scrap that scene form the comic, you can add that to your theories list hahaha)
