So I decided to play around with google trends for fun and this is what I got.

Even though its not in the picture I included smackjeeves and webcomicsapp too and they were pretty much the same as comic fury.

I honestly thought Lezhin would have a bigger audience but damn its pretty small compared to webtoon and tapas XD

Edit: I didn't know Tapas was also a dish so sorry about that XD

Webtoons is officially known as "Line Webtoon" and Tapas has had a previous identity too, however, it doesn't make much of a difference which one you pick tbh.

yeah if you google tapas you get a bunch of food. that was why i thought it was so weird they changed there name from taptastic to Tapas

yeah you're gonna have to refine your search a bit because Tapas is also a Spanish dish, before Tapas it was Tapastic, and before THAT it was like... ComicPanda or something like that lmao (if i recall correctly).

And it def hasn't been around since 2004 lmaoo (at least not as 'Tapastic' and definitely not as 'Tapas')

"Tapas" can mean many things. They should've stuck with Tapastic tbh lol. Much more recognizable as a "brand" but too late now XP

Webtoon not only had a big campaign not long ago, but also just started striking multiple anime/show deals for their Originals, popping up in the news a lot.

Lezhin might be big with top tier quality production but it's all paid content. If people wanna read something there, chances are... they'll just search up the series on a pirated website lol.

I've been seeing commercials for Webtoons on Youtube and Hulu, so maybe the spike might be due to that

Comicfury has a lot of domains that are not being addressed here. CF is also thecomicseries.com, the-comic.org, thecomicstrip.org, webcomic.ws and cfw.me. When you make your website you can choose from any of these. And you don't have to have your site associate with CF if you don't want to.
