I think that made me more confused. I've made series before but I've never made money and the didn't get that far. I'm working with a writer on a series but it isn't a webcomic. Would I still be considered a beginner or nah?

you would be considered a beginner.
Simply put, someone who isn't a beginner gets money from their work, but you're grand.
What i was trying to say is skill doesn't matter

are you interested? If you are email me at jamestbrosnan123@gmail.com . Attach a few of your art pieces also so i can store them for when I bring them up when we discuss what art style we will make (as we might take inspiration from our own art styles, etc.)
As for group communication, that will come when I assemble enough people, which to me delight, we almost have

What an awesome idea. I am more talented at writing than I am at art, but I am passionate about both. Are you looking for people from similar time zones? Also, is there an age restriction for this?

what time zone are you in? As for age restriction, none really but if i must i would say 16-20 since that's around my age also

Hehe. Everyone is excited to get folks to draw their porn. ^^

DJ's don't have to have porn at all. They're comic fanfic. But they usually are porn.

Doujin means fancomics, so what comic series would the doujin be from? It sounds like an interesting concept but only if it would be working on something for a series I know something about.

Dojin's are a group of people with a similar hobby that create something together. Hentai and Fancomics are the most popular. However in Japan its the same as manga.
Easiest way to explain is the visual novel company TYPE-MOON. They were originally a group of 2-3 people that decided "right, let's make a visual novel" and so they came out with Tsukihime, which they sold as a Dojinshi. Dojins literally means self-published works. Both amateurs and professionals alike take part in it, but its mainly amateurs. Fancomics is the most widely popular type of Doujinshi, but a load of circles work on completely original projects. (This is how CLAMP first got started, by creating original Doujinshi and selling them at Comiket)

Yup! Just restating more clearly so people don't get confused. The original mission statement you posted might be a little fuzzy to the young-ins, or anyone in general. smile

Fan-Manga's would be clearer for a mainly US audience of all age groups. Will also keep them from perhaps accidental porn hunting. smiley
Good luck on your endever!

He did! And I wish him luck! There have been some super awesome groups that have come out of such a collab before, and it's a FANTASTIC way to promote yourself and your art! Alot of people make their names first by doing fanart and them moving onto other things. Some of them now even make their living off their web-comics too. It's also really good practice.

I encourage people to try! And good luck! Seriously, been trying to get a small group together for a few months just for general cross-eyeballing and discussion. It's tricky.

Ikr. This is my 4th time trying. Sadly had to be rather aggressive this time because it was always jokers and money lovers who commented. I'm glad the Tapastic community is so amazing to find all these amazing people. Btw, saw your earlier comment! thanks a mill for doing that mate!

is there still space left, cause i wanna join. if i can then may i draw and write? i'll email you my art.
