I would suggest keep trying. Comicraft has a set of pre-made balloons that they sell for $10; however, pre-made balloons are just that- pre-made. If you need to adjust your ballloons accordingly, it doesnt really allow for that.

You can't find the vectors because they don't exist. There are the letterers that do the, customized, speech bubbles.
If you have Photoshop, they are very easy to do.
If you have it, I can explain how to do them.

Hey, totally feel you on the burnout in making word bubbles that just come out... wonky and weird. This video might help you out. Fairly simple and straightforward for Photoshop.

I would't recommend using pre-made vectors to create speech bubbles only because it can clash with whatever art style you use. But if you're experimenting and trying to get a general feel of how to work with them, check out this link for speech bubble vectors50. Cheers~!

But the question I ask is: what program are you using to make your word balloon bubbles & tails?

Also, a lot of letterers will create their own "balloon template sheet"- a sheet full of the balloons(and tails) that they've made to keep from having to create stuff over and over again. They will re-use the previous balloons they've created, and just only have to adjust the balloons(and tails) to the dialogue.
