Well, I'm 18. So I'm not an old timer who remembers the good ol days when cinemas sold tickets for 2 bucks showing midnight screenings of the yellow submarine (my dad's cited reason for falling in love with my mom). but my mom is the secretary of a film society and goes out to watch artsy fartsy trash every Monday, there are plenty of film festivals throughout the year when more niche showings are presented, and less prominent theaters that make a point of showing smaller films. If you want to watch more movies at the cinema, you should seek out these kinds of clubs and festivals. Follow your local cinema's Instagram page and attend anything that mildly interests you, join a facebook group (that what old people do right?), get a letterbox account, you can sometimes get free movie tickets and see other film nerds thoughts on movies.
Film societies tend toward the pretentious, sad and boring and usually subtitled (although this year theres been a ton of 60's scifi which I love). It's a breath of fresh air when it comes to the mainstream, but it can be its own kind of drudgery. but it'll give you an excuse to go to the cinema and befriend a bunch of other 30-60yos.
So all that being said, no, I don't miss the cinema, it's still there. It can be hard to get excited for things, but if you look you'll find something, maybe you'll be suprised by what you find.
