To those who use paint tools sai or others with stabilizesr, do you use the stabelizer?
Edit: The question means do you use it or is it something you used when you began?

Yes. Stabilizer is a helpful tool. But what exactly is the question though? Stabilizer is in every digital art program.

OH MY GOSH sorry i read that as "how do you use stabilizer"!!

Yes i use stabilizer, but mostly when I'm drawing backgrounds. Hahaha sorry that was really embarassing

The question means do you use it or is it something you used when you began? Sorry, didn't really make that clear.

I feel like the question was pretty clear unless it was typed different originally :o

I don't use stabilizer at all. I hate it now. I used to use it once in a blue moon a couple years back but now a days I don't find a need for it + I hate how slowly it makes my cursor move. I moved from CSP to Photoshop because of that even. With the stabilizer at the lowest setting, it still moved far too slowly for my liking.

Yeah, this was worded differently but i changed it, thanks for your answer btw,

Ah yes I thought stabilizer is a given for everyone. CSP really does have quite high stabilizer despite you might try to put it at the lowest setting. Drawing on tablet isn't quite like paper so stabilizer help with curve and less messy line in my opinion. Inking is important in CSP so stabilizer would definitely help a lot. After using CSP for a bit and move back to SAI, I feel like the brush moves a lot faster despite my stabilizer is at around 15.

Photoshop has low stabilizer to the point some people has to get help from something like Lazy Nezumi to draw perfect line/circle/shape. In the end it's really depend on your preference.

Hell yeah I use it. AND I set it to 14. I just LOVE how slow & fluid the cursor moves. It's so satisfying! But to each their own, I guess

I used to think it was pointless until I switched tablets. Now I have to use it so I don't end up with really janky lines, plus it's a much smother feel (for me personally) than without.

yes! i have SAI and i ramp the stabiliser up to 15, it has a massive effect on the line quality. but if you go any higher than that, drawing circles is..... impossible, and generally everything drags.

i don't use the stabilizer in csp too much,i just kinda taught myself to have more stable strokes

yeah for smooth lines. it makes life easier to raise the stabilization in the start rather than repeating strokes over and over again until they're perfectly smooth.

Most of the time because my arthritis makes my hands quaky, but sometimes I'll turn it off for a bit because there will just be a line that keeps correcting itself in the wrong way and looking off ><

I keep my stabilizer in CSP on 5. Any higher than that, and I'm fighting the program to make a decent line. I like to finesse my lines, and the stabilizer at that setting allows me to do that.
