Star Trek Comedic Parodys?

From my own experience, I have not seen very many Star Trek Comedy Parodys. The one Star Trek Parody I have seen is The Orville, but I really wouldn't call that a comedy, mainly because I have only watched the first five minutes (really need to get on watching that more). Star Wars however, has alot of comedic Parodys, so why doesn't Star Trek have alot of comedic parodys? Does Star Trek just not have comedy potential?

If you're looking for parodies, I highly recommend Galaxy Quest!
It's a pretty funny movie, definitely worth a watch.

Don't know if it fits the parody description, but Black Mirror S04E01, ''USS Callister'', is a pretty cool nod. It takes Star Trek tropes as an examination of so-called ''geek fandoms'' entitlement and sexism, in a way that can be darkly humorous and disturbing at the same time. Cool stuff.
Also, I'm a fan of anything that will mock William Shatner's legendary ego.

@joannekwan Is that Gary Oldman in the back of the photo? I truly hope so, I love his half unziped shirt

Star Trek parodies were more of a thing back in the late eighties and early nineties when Trek was the recognizable face of science fiction. Lots of sketch commedy shows like Mad TV and SNL did their own riffs. I specifically remember "Wrath of Farrakhan" a sketch from the show In Living Color. Jim Carrey played the role of Kirk.

Spaceballs.....It's more of a mix between star trek/star wars and other science fiction parodies BUT I think it's the best one out there and you know, they make star trek jokes too. BTW I'm a HUGE trekkie....actually watching Deep Space 9 right now and I just made a Janeway t-shirt (LINK). Star Trek totally has potential but it hasn't been around since the 90s....idk. I think it's better then Star Wars in my personal opinion. OH btw Patrick Stewart is coming back to play Jean-Luc in a new series...just saying...I'm slightly geeking out...

This is not intended to be a funny parody, but it is an amazing book, Red Shirts by John Scalzi. In this novel, Scalzi deconstructs what the fourth wall really means from a character's point view. It takes place within a television show that rips off Star Trek (I guess to avoid trademark infringement), and the characters figure out that are fictional characters trapped in a narrative which will almost certainly kill them.
