Unfortunately it would seem obvious what everyone thinks and it seems obvious they don't care if they're money is wasted or not. I myself am not one of those people, I like to believe that if I do send something, it will go to use. You showed some support once with Ko-Fi, something I'm greatly respectful for but I wonder, how would you have felt if I never used that money even though it was right there for me? Would you have taken it in stride or would you have felt bitter at all? I mean this is a gift you gave to me and if you found out I purposely didn't use it, how would that make you feel? Would you ever want to show support again?
@ratique
I only think its fair that such knowledge of the limit should be made readily available for the supporters in question. I'll say again that until recently, I never knew about this limit. I had no reason to think there was one, because it's not readily available. And I wasn't going to go on a grand search to find something that I'm not even aware of. If people want to spend their money without it being used, I guess that their choice. But I think it is fair that everyone knows what's going on and this "limit" issue isn't so easily hidden, like fine print in a book.
@STAFF
You speak of caring, and for argument sake let's say you do. If you do care, than you would make some changes, even if its just making it more easily noted about the limit. I was very close to buying coins, perhaps spreading them around to different creators because I truly thought they were directly going to them. Getting coins through advertisements is hard and that's if you can get them in the first place. But I'd rather have known this rule was at hand much easier that way I or anyone could decide what to do.
If there's anything I want, not for me but for supporters themselves, it's that they know exactly what they're getting. I say again, make the notice of this limit more readily available, whenever you tip, whenever you buy coins, etc. Something else that might be good is maybe knowing how much the coins are worth. What is 1,000 coins worth? What is 25,000 coins worth? Just an easy to see chart you can click on whenever purchasing coins. For those who don't mind the limit, feel free to show your support.
For those who might want to save up their money and support the creator more directly, well now they've been properly noted about the situation and they can make that choice on their own. I myself am someone who would not want to throw supporting money if I found out it might not be used, especially if I was supporting a creator who, may not have that many tips to start. I'd rather give those tips to him or her another way.
