SUICIDE AND DARK HUMOR - is it too much taboo?

Hello guys

I started this comic named THE GHOST OF SUICIDE, it's about a guy who suffers depression/anxiety and gets therapy from a ghost.

It's a dark comedy, instead of making it super sad I'm trying to give funny moments to people having bad times and struggling with mental health.

But I don't know if this comic may drive people away just by reading the title, dont know if they may think it's a super depressive or negative series.
Do you think I should change the name of the comic?
or what can I do to make it more inviting to be read?

I like your art. I think just as long you understand that the theme of your comic is serious and try to depict as such then I guess you can continue. There's already a lot of shows, books and other forms of media that have done similar themes in a dark comedic way but also give an understanding that this isn't something to brush off. Like a balance between funny and dark. Try to watch those and take note to how they handle the theme.

I don't know if my suggestion would be helpful but I recommend watching Paranoia Agent, an anime, that talks about people trying to escape reality and the strong reliance of escapism.

Also, I think it's better to tweak your title a bit especially with the word suicide. I don't know if my advice is helpful but I hope you can find what you're looking for.

Ehhh may be leading a bit into edgy territory with the title, but I could still see the comic working completely fine if it is done tastefully (or at least as tasteful as you can get with dark humor) there's been way worse that has aired on television and has recieved praise.

I've had a complicated history with suicidal depression and I feel like for some, though there may not necessarily be any ill-intentioned content by the author, may find the title or subject too triggering? But they can simply avoid reading it, because at least with your comic's name you're blatantly stating the kind of content it will contain should they read it. I'm sorry I can't go more in depth with your work as an example, I'm sure it's wonderful, but I am one of those people who gets kinda bad when exposed to stuff like that ^w^"

I just remember being like, 7 years old when my dad gifted me a comic compilation called "The Book of Bunny Suicides" Now I can't really handle that kind of content without spiraling. So maybe with my past I'm a bit air-conditioned or bias so I may be completely wrong and be the only person who questions it.

But, ultimately at the end of the day I think you should do what you feel is in your own best interest (and what follows the upload guidelines lol) sorry I'm sure my answer wasn't very helpful ;w;

I mean, some people would definitely be drawn away from it, but there is also definitely an audience that would love this kind of stuff. I'd probably stick with the title in that and just write what you'd like.

I love your comic. The art is fun to look at, the dialogue is interesting and humorous, and even when it got “serious” I didn’t get bored.

I live with a lot of dark thoughts that I wish would go away, and reading your comic makes me feel better and reflective on the subject.
