“Almost...” Genii reached his hands out to Erras and the Knight did the same. Eventually they grabbed one another’s wrists before Genii slammed the breaks on again, slowing their descent.

Gemma turned to look at the cliff edge as Andrew reappeared. Stepping back out of harms way as he lowered one of his giant horns.

As the Overlord stopped moving Bellah twisted an ear then looked up. They were back to the path, but it looked like they’d need to do a bit of balancing across Vermillion’s horn to reach it... wonderful.

Aster glanced up at the horns. oh goody

“Just a little-“ Erras encouraged Genii between turbulence. “... further.”

“Sorry!” Genii was all over the place. He’d never flown this high before - even with Zephyr’s help. Jumping off the big tree with Dani was easy because that was just gliding, but this was exhausting. He just trusted what Erras was telling him to do and flew/fell towards the mountain side.

“I could use those extra wings right about now!” Genii shouted at no one. Although he was actually reluctant to use the God Stone incase it burnt Erras.

“Aster! Makna!” Gemma smiled as she spotted them on Andrew... Bellah too, but she didn’t mention her.

Serenity starts to cross the newly formed bridge. It's still rather hot so it does hurt a bit to step on, but since it is only 4 meters she is able to traverse. Daemon hesitates, the bridge still looks piping hot.

Aster gave Gemma a meek 'yup still alive' wave before nudging Bellah. " We best get climbing"

Bellah wasn’t happy with the situation. She glanced from Vermillion’s horn and then to Aster. “... baada ta (after you).” She said, but didn’t seem to want to release her grip on the Spirit Caller.

“Ok...” Erras tightened his grip on Genii’s wrists. “... easy does it now.”

Genii couldn’t hear Erras anymore, just the rushing wind and his own berserk flapping. As he reached the cliff side the rising wind caught his wings and he and Erras shot up with it. It took them right to the pathway and a little higher.

Genii flapped to get out of the updraft then glided down to land... which consisted of dragging Erras for a while then doing a forward roll until he was lying on his back on the path.

“WHOO!” The Siren let go of Erras’ arms to punch the air, then let them drop because he was knackered.

Aster started his way up the horn towards what looked like rather hot rocks, he made a test touch feeling the strong heat still coming off it. He turned round to help give Bellah a hand up on the horn. "I think...I may need to carry you over, that rock is way too hot for you to cross"

Bellah clawed her way up onto the horn with Aster's help, trying not to look down as they balanced on it. She frowned as Aster suggested he could carry her, she was a proud warrior and had been humiliated enough today... but... she wasn't wearing shoes.

"Very well..." Bellah swallowed her pride and nodded in agreement.

Aster blushed and meekly scooped in a bridal carry...it seemed the most polite way to do so. he made his way carefully on the sizzling hot rocks, the leather of his shoes producing an unpleasant cooked smell as he made his way over, bellah held close. Face focused with concentration.

Makna got up and trotted to the horn, waiting for the two to move before leaping up onto the horn, wobbling as her toes slipped n scuffed at the horn as she regained her balance.

Bellah wasn’t sure where to look as Aster lifted her. She wrapped an arm over the man’s shoulder and held onto his top with the other.

The new walkway wasn’t very wide, so it was impossible not to see the vast drop beneath them as Aster hurried along. Bellah grimaced then hid her face against the man’s neck.

“You’re alive!” Gemma was happy to see both Genii and Erras back on solid ground again. She helped Erras to his feet then pulled Genii up and gave him a big squeeze.

“That was so stupid Gen!” she scolded, thumping her little brother in the arm.

Erras would thank Genii later, he made his way to where the new molten path met the existing one, to see if the others needed help. He could see Serenity making her way across.

Aster got her over to the more stable path, finding a clear spot to gently set Bellah down on her feet. "Your safe now." He smiled.

Erras moved aside to let Aster and Bellah by.

Once Aster had lowered her to the ground Bellah finally released him. She'd crinkled his clothes from gripping onto them so tightly. "Thank you." the Aamami smiled and bowed her head, her ears bopping the top of Aster's hair.

"Who are we waiting for?" Genii asked as he stared at Vermillion.

"Just Makna and Daemon I think..." Gemma answered, trying not to bite her fingernails.

Erras resumed coaxing Makna and gestured for her to cross the new path.

Aster blushed tickled by the ears. "You were very brave"

Makna wobbled on the horn before leaping onto the fresh path. The think soles n hood like toes unbothered by the heat. She carfully made her way to Erras.

Daemon starts making his way over the newly formed path, stepping and hopping on the hot stone. He'd regenerate the foot burns later.

((Hopefully this works. Feels like I've been trying to post it all day. ))

"This is not brave..." Bellah admitted to Aster, holding out a shaking hand. "This is weak. We should have gone under the mountains." she'd be much more comfortable fighting goblins and basilisks, at least she could stab those.

"That's it..." Erras smiled as Makna made her was over. He gave Daemon a quick wave as he spotted him hopping along not too far behind.

"...do you think those two are a thing..." Gemma nudged Genii and nodded at Aster and Bellah.

Genii was trying to hold back sneeze. "... maybe..." he shrugged looking over at them. He had noticed they were together most of the time.

"They - CHU!" Genii sneezed and had a bit of a magical mishap. "Aw-what!?"

"G-Gen?" Gemma took a step away from her brother who had miraculously sprouted an extra pair of glowing blue wings. She took a few more steps when she noticed his eyes were glowing too.

"Ugh. Come on!" Genii groaned in annoyance. Trolled by his own magic. He started looking for a pebble...

"No, being scared is not a weakness. Fear can help keep one alive, after all the fearless tend to die young." He tried to assure. "And to be honest the veiw from up here is rather spectacular."

Makna nuzzeled the flightless bird and mussed his hair

((Morning! ))

Bellah looked out across to the meadowlands, Vorii and the never ending forests beyond that. From this high up you could see for miles. It was quite an impressive view... so long as you didn’t look down. “You are right...”

Erras chuckled as Makna gave him a friendly nuzzle. “Yes, yes. I’m glad you’re alive too.” He smiled and patted the dragon on the side of her neck.

Genii picked up a small stone and tried (from memory) to scratch out a circle on the cliff wall.

"You can keep holding my hand if you wish." Aster offered.

Danivere looked impressed at seeing Genii's glowy second pair of wings.
"I didn't know you could do that", she stopped leaning against the cliffside and smiled to Genii, "but then again a lot of surprises have happened already since we started travelling.

Andrew was starting to revert back to human form.
