Also, would it be alright with you guys if I did a death battle inspired text thing alongside the fight club? Just something to help grow the idea of tapas character fights. Rules are death battle rules except the characters don't go for the kill (unless both creators want it to be to the death).

Would anyone be interested in having their characters participate? Would anyone want to be on the judge panel?

Thanks for the offer, you'll also probably have to check with @Friendly_Sheep as well considering that he's the brains behind the operation.

just a heads up, from how stressful and mentally draining match 2 was as an announcer, im dropping Jr out of the fighter roster

Hello, progress update (again):

Our team has set a deadline for the second match to be finished before December 1.

Yes, that is much longer than I said earlier. Now some people are probably thinking, "How the hell can Toad miscalculate the time so badly?"

The word of the day is "bottlenecks". And I also might be bad at estimating stuff.

On the bright side, @aqua03, @KoreanTacos, @Friendly_Sheep, @dawgofdawgness, @ghostieblu, you guys have some more time to finish your match without any problems from our team  Good luck to you all, and sorry if this comes as a disappointment to anyone

@Everyone Hey guys, you may notice a new sub for your comics that just conveniently happen to be here in this forum topic. I've taken the liberty of opening a new fight club account, nobody is kicked off, but the comic will now be open and accessible to more than a single person, and I will assure you that tipping and ad rev will remain shut-off at all times. The first fight will be up Nov 12, this time I'm the one promising it, and it will happen. So feel free to follow back this new but familiar face, while a properly organized fight club is created in the process. I apologize for any inconvenience, this whole thing will have proper standards from here on out!

If I missed someone please let me know, The account will be designed to sub to all participants as a means to advertise comics, if you don't want the sub please let me know now and I can have them taken off.

I sent them to the three I thought of immediately, but if communication becomes a major issue or the account is tampered with without my consent I can delete it as the original e-mail holder to the account.

oh.. I thought it would be given to everyone working on the matches

A group-held account could be a useful tool. I would have created it if I had thought to do it.

As ideal as that sounds there still needs to be order of some sort, but as I'm dropping out after this, I've already told the three that they are welcome to choose who they feel should have access. My only concern as mentioned before is tamperment, I would hate to have any risk of someone sign up, get the account info and begin to delete pages, or tamper with information in anyway. It's not that I'm trying to put a wall over anyone, but for any successful group project a leader still needs to be placed and needs to carry the responsibility of whole.

Think of it like a Discord moderator, they're just there to make sure things run smoothly, but are still the same as everyone else in chat

I think this is a good move, but I agree post should not be able to be taken down or adjusted by one person. maybe the project leader could be found with a vote or something? but I think a policy should be in place that nothing gets adjusted without permission of the artist and one other whom had worked on the fight in question.

I personally may also be stepping down from fight club after the second fight is published, I'm not sure at this point. I think it might be an idea for everyone to say what sort of conditions they want to work with. personally if i continue with fight club i no longer want to work with anyone under 20 and only with people who have clip studio. the reasons for this are my own.

Seems interesting, props to whoever produced it, looks like so much effort was put into it. I'll be looking forward how this turns out. Are these going to be choreographed by their own author?

A lot of time and effort has been put into it, and it really is collaboration of dedication. We do judgement through non bias judgement and organize specific tasks on who does what and try to help out where need be, we are only humans after all. Im hoping that reflects on the upcoming fight, and so far things are moving in the right directions again. Its been a very bumpy road filled with a lot of gravel and debre but once you see the first two bouts it should be good. Blood sweat and tears as they say. Victories are based on stats, environment, and practicality (2 vs 1, summoner vs single knight, etc.)

I give credit to @Friendly_Sheep for the organization and ideas of how fights should run

9 days later

As planned we will be releasing the first fight this Monday. In the mean time Im looking for two leader rolls, as we could use some more leader positions to ensure this project doesnt die after only two bouts, and generally keeping up with where everyone is and that things are running smoothly, Id prefer someone who has already done a collaboration or has some commission experience, but if anyone is interested feel free to pm me.

I would like to be the leader, but unfortunately, the troubles with the exhibition match proved that I'm not the best at organizational skills. So having someone with more experience and better leadership skills would be great. Also, thanks for pulling this through, you did great keeping us all together despite the issues! Hats off!
