After passing out while playing a game, Nico woke up to find himself taking over the role of the Demon King. Not wanting to die under the hands of the hero - who was his favourite character, he decided to take over the human's nation before the hero could get to him first. However, things definitely did not go the way he was expecting it to.

Upon waking up, Megumi was in a place similar to hell. To his dismay, he found out that he was in fact, dead. The place he was in was called Limbo, a place that's either heaven nor hell. A mysterious figure then appeared and announced that everyone in the room will be taking part in a series of games, to which those who can arrive at Floor Zero of the Limbo will get a chance to reincarnate. As such, Megumi, along with the friends he made along the way, started their Reincarnation Game.
