Nah, it´s always welcome. I hope people read the description and don´t get annoyed with it. I have a mild form of dyslexia, and lot´s of things escape my eye + English is my second language....but I just realized I forgot to put the description trough my writing error programm - so it actually helps a lot haha. Thanks.

Alex9Wolf9 has made some good suggestions. I have a few more to add.

Write an excellent blurb which gives a perspective reader a chance a reason to read. I can refer you to some literature on writing blurbs if you like.
Participate in a comment exchange program with another author. Don't just assume that others should read your stuff if you are unwilling to read what others have written. This isn't Twitter. The comment exchanges are also a good way to solicit feedback. I know of at least a couple of threads on this forum specifically dedicated to that.
Promote your work. No one will read if they never heard about it. If you shop around, you will find some podcasters or maybe even a local radio host who is hurting for guests.
Make some good cover art. The cover should be easy to read, brightly colored, and make a statement about the contents of your project.
Engage your audience. If you appreciate the readers you get, they are more likely to come back and continue being readers.
Ask for reviews. Notice that I did not write to ask for good reviews. Any reviews are better than none at all. In fact, one book reviewer once told me that the dirty secret is bad reviews sell more copies than good reviews. My wife has had five books out in print for years now with one review on Amazon and zero on GoodReads. She's hurting for reviews like nobody's business.
Only after doing all of the above, consider a purchase of advertising.

I'm pretty excited to debut my novel here. I've literally been ruminating on this thing for 20 years, and not even my mom or husband has read one word. ...until now, hopefully. Ha!

Warnings: if I were able to use multiple genres, this would be fantasy HORROR. The setting is just too "fantasy" for me to in good faith award it a primarily horror classification, but there are most definitely horrible creatures that kill people in this novel. I try not to get ridiculously graphic, but be aware there's an enemy out there wreaking havoc from word one.

Welp, here's my entry: It's a sci-fi story about aliens competing to conquer Earth and a trio of rogue aliens who decide to protect it instead. In the simplest of terms of course.

I'm looking forward to reading everyone else's novels! Feedback is greatly appreciated
