It varies from month to month depending on overall site performance.
The more closed system was just because we had to manually add people and track them - we were using a third party ad revenue system so it wasn't scalable at the time. But now that we've built our own ad revenue system and dashboard, it's a lot easier to manage.
We were facing some scrutiny over not having this feature - and we are going to face skepticism or scrutiny FOR having it, well then, not much we can do about that.
We serve ads under each comic and you'll be receiving ad revenue based on the number of impressions you have. You don't need to set up or put up your own ads. We really want to streamline this process so you don't have to spend time trying to figure all that stuff out
