Tapastic but for artists

I'm new so I hope this is in the right category. But are there websites like this but for people who like to draw or create anything that isn't just only comics. I want to make comics and art so I made an account here but I also want to showcase art too. Does anyone know of a website that does this but for drawing and etc. too?(Not patreon)

You can still share your artwork here even if it's not comics. There are comics here that focus on sharing art galleries (din with his Din's Sketchbook series first comes to mind). It's not ideal, but there are plenty of "series" out there that do this already.

Other than that, DeviantArt is the biggest collection of artists and artwork. Community is kinda suckish but it's nice if you want to be able to just upload your art somewhere.

Like people have said, deviantart is a popular choice - but the community is NOTHING like Tapastic's. Likewise, I'd recommend Tumblr as a place to share your art, but there's very little interaction with other users there, as Tumblr lacks a commenting-system.

Deviantart is probably the biggest and Artstation is an interesting up and coming site [just got on there as well]. In regards to communities though I find I get a lot more feedback here overall. As others before me have said, you can always make a new series here to post your art, may it be full illustrations or sketches. That's what I did and it's fun to share it with the community.

artstation looks nice but very intimidating and its looks like a concept artist niche (which is a serious competitive dog eat dog world! due to the amount of artist who want in and the lack of jobs) I'll keep my eye on and see if if its perspective changes, the companies posting jobs there I KNOW are top spec and super hard to even get a look in from

I would recommend deviantART if it were what it was years ago but I don't like the community there now. Everything seems to have gotten out of control too and the staff are, well.. I was let down when they changed their logo (which in my opinion, is bad.) without openly receiving the members' inputs. For me, I don't want to be part of a community like that.

Right now, I'm concentrating my art dumps on tumblr. For Japanese, I have pixiv.

I have to agree with everyone else, Deviantart isn't great these days, although I loved it in my teens. It's pretty hard to get noticed unless you just draw fanart. I actually get more feedback on Tumblr, and that's without a proper comment system. People sometimes leave comments in their reblogs, or send asks, or reply to a post if they're a follower (make sure to allow replies in your settings) but the best thing is tags. I often find people leaving massive comment essays in tags when they reblog my stuff, which can be really heart-warming - i just wish I didn't have to go through every reblog to find those!

(I have the exact same problem with Deviantart, years back it was good but now it's just overflooded and original art doesn't stand a chance.)

Can I please ask you about the tags on Tumblr? I'm not sure I understand how it works...

The first five tags of your post are searchable sitewide. So when people look for example "steven universe", they will see all the art tagged with "steven universe" here: https://www.tumblr.com/tagged/steven-universe
and here: https://www.tumblr.com/search/steven+universe

So say if you make some fanart for a popular show make sure you tag it within the first 5 tags of your picture so people can find it.

What @winglesscomic said! But also, if you reblog a post and put tags on it, those tags won't show up in search, but they can still be used to navigate your own blog. Many people use tags for content/ trigger warnings, but also to express themselves, so it's often fascinating to see what people tag your stuff with.

That's what the xkit tumblr extension is for! I love reading lovely comments on my followers' tags as well, and I can read 'em all in one place with xkit.

Artstation is surely not for everyone!

I'd say tumblr too. It becomes quite pouplar, and can have personalized themes too. I really liked this feature, it can make you have your own little art blog/portfolio/whatever.

I know there are some facebook groups people use for interaction between people with their works. I tried it for some times, but the groups I went in were bitter and jealous about the others. They praised only the one who were popular, always criticizing the others. Maybe I was just in bad groups.
