Hello my name KappaGumi and i'm a new webcomic artist just want to put myself. i make a webcomic call Some Random Manga About me and my friend and stuff i like hate. For years i try to make a manga so people can read it but i would get to shy to show my work and in the last week i was able to get 9 Subscribers with out doing anything beside just posting pages i did in the last two weeks. it made me happy cause i have fans who like my work. And the felling of making a page for you guys omg amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol so ummmmmm!!!!!111

Let's see, I've been officially publishing webcomics online for a little over a year now, and I'm still learning a lot about webcomics and culture around it and the online world, all very exciting stuff! I started off at Smack Jeeves but I've had no luck. Within 3 months I only got 4 very quiet followers. I decided to extend to other sites, and Tapastic ended up offering the best environment for me, because the open interaction between creators and readers and how supportive and attentive the Tapastic team is to everyone. The fact that I see @michaelson and @minzinger and eveyone else so active in the forums and comics interacting with users made me feel like Tapastic was like one big family ^w^. Even if I got an offer from other sites like Line or Hiveworks, I don't think I'd have the heart to accept because I love it here so much, I wouldn't be able to leave all the friends I've made here

Experiences with making comics... Well, I've been drawing comics since I remember : D even my 'arts' as a 5-year-old kid were comics~ Though most of my stories stayed unfishined and without any readers, kept down inside my desk and hidden from the world. My first readers were my cousins and sister, haha~ I also used to draw a comic for my classmates, with us all as characters : D it was really silly, but somehow they loved it, and I loved drawing it too~
Then there were my first attempts to draw a more 'serious' comics, and I finally got my courage to upload one on smackjeeves C: I wasn't really happy with it, and after few months I deleted it from the site. I kept practising, got a short comic story published in a comics antology, and started uploading my current story online~ (though the current story is basically one of my old story after a makeover). First on smackjeeves, then Inkblazers, and after it shut down- I've moved here : D and I love tapastic, people are so nice here ; u; ♥ like MylCreates said, it's like a big family, it's really motivating ( :

My experience with comics was... hum, almost non-existent, since I drew one or two pages, and get bored. The webcomic I do is actually the first real project. And i'm really happy about it.

For that, I started with webcomics.fr, then also ran an english version on SmackJeeves. But like @MylCreates, SmackJeeves readers were quite silents, and I didn't really know how to integrate properly the community.
So, someone told me one day about other websites that looked nice, and one of them was Tapastic. So I went through there and boom ! I found a really nice community with great interactions. It gives a lot of motivation
So i'm really happy to share and discover new webcomics, also participating in the forums.

Hello there! So glad to hear everyone is having a good time!
My experience with comics has been an experiment but very worth it! I drew comics for myself in middle school and high school. The nice thing about not intending to publish (especially at that age), is the freedom to try out ideas or techniques. Though I stopped drawing durring college, a couple years after I found myself missing that whimsical liberty to just create for the sake of creating. Im really lucky that my boyfriend (err I mean husband now) joined my adventure. Working with another person added its own challenges that forced me to plan better and communicate more. Overall, making Visceral has been immensely rewarding, even though its just passing the prologue chapter now. In this world of 9 to 5 slavery, comics are my hope to stay sane and stay sharp.

I've been making comics since I was 13 (I'm 38 now) so - 25 years... whoa

Online, I started my comic in 2010, and moved everything over here last year and have been working on making them more mobile friendly. My next project will be mobile ready, as that seems to be the preferred method of choice for reading comics nowadays.

I've been a regular contributor to the Webcomic Alliance (writing artices and giving advice on the podcast) and before that, I had a resource/tutorial site called idrawdigital.

Right now I am only working on one comic (Bison Bay) and I am getting ready to start new issues of El Cuervo: The Latin Assassin for tapastic.
