The new spangled Ink system

This morning marks the debut of Tapas's Ink system, though what makes it different from the coin system? It functions exactly the same way, all they did was slap on a new texture to the coins and called it a day. Changing the name of the tip system and retexturing the coin shop.

Though If you pay attention to the deals, You spend a certain amount of money and get less ink than the coins back when they were a thing.

$1.99 get's you 1600 ink, but previously it was 2400 coins for the same price.

What that means is that the ink is 33% more valuable than the coins.

Let me know if you find any more differences between the coins and the Ink.

i think if you check the dashboard there's a brief message but for the most part i don't think it'll alter the value of previously given tips

If I remember correctly, the 2400 coins for $2 was a one-time promotional deal (you can buy for that price once, but then the price changes to the normal 1600 for $2). Although the prices in the ink shop can differ according to promotions and the amount that you buy, the actual value of the units (the amount you as a creator can redeem them for in $$$) has not changed.

The new system also does have some genuinely new features -

• you now have a support page and can put a message on it telling people why they should support you (this is different from your main profile page)
• you can now send a message along with your tip if you support someone
• you (as a creator) can respond to the messages that people send you

A_Toad is correct, the 2400 coin/Ink pack at $1.99 is a one-time offer, and disappears after it's been purchased.

• 58,000 –> 60,000 @ $49.99 (better than before)
• 120,000 @ $99.99 (removed)
