The robot dictionary

Just as a fun thing and also helpful when script writing I'm compiling a new dictionary dedicated to how robots speak.

example.

a human might say "take a look out the window"
robot say's: " please direct your attention to the Transparency on the south wall."

it dose not have to be whole sentences you could put just words but the format should be

Human:
Robot:

oof I'll have to think about that. In our world since robots were sold to the common man... most customers didn't want bots that talked like that.

I think it can lead to some very funny comic moments (you know why! )

When slang has changed and the robot isn't updated. Like

"That's radical"

"Do we need to alert the authorities?"

"So cool!"

"I'm sorry, shall I make it warmer?"

I'm working on rewriting my comic to have more of these. One I came up with was:

man, "Did you have a rough day?"
robot, "Time does not possess a texture."

Robot: "Exterminate. Exterminate. Prepare to be vaporized."

Human: "H*ll yeah. Get Wrecked Son! YEEEEHAAAAAAAW!"

don't know if we can count this. only one creature uses Exterminate and technically they are not robots because Darleks have a creature operating an outer machine.

In my dystopian sci-fi novella, Soulless Saint, the character 402 had some dialog along these lines. His speech was a little distinct even among the Machine Men.

human: It's for fun.
402: Irrelevant

human: Aw, I'm so sorry that happened.
402: Irrelevant

human: You can trust me. We'll survive together.
402: Irrelevant, your survival is optional.

human: I found a big gun. Look at the size of it!
402: Relevant, the gun now belongs to me, and you shall not touch it.

Also there is "In a minute!"

"Excellent! I'll set a timer." and to be honest I see a robot that doesn't like that phrase doing it every flipping time just to get the humans to stop.

Robot without advanced voice synthesizer: "AHH, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY." (but in a monospace font)

Robot with broken language encoding: "0x4168682c207768617420612062656175746966756c2064617921"

Stereotypically dry and ultra-logical robot: "The current day is April 4, 2054."

Malfunctioning robot: "A beautiful d- d- d- d- d- d- d- d- d- d- d- d- d- d- d- * beep, whirr * shuts down

Windows download bot: "A beautiful day. Time remaining: 24 hours... 23 hours 57 minutes... 7 hours 4 minutes... 3 days 19 hours 23 minutes..."

Human: yeah I loved that new fantastic 4 movie. The pacing was brilliant.
