The reason this stuff is promoted so much is because there's a huge amount of money in it. Most of us indie creators may find them brainless and repetitive, but the majority of Tapas' audience is here for them pretty boys, lol.

In any case, can't for two years from now when my literal villainess character is in the comic, excited to see if she influences my views.

My friends and I love to make fun of these comics together. It's fair game, these are often comics with whole-ass professional production teams churning out the same mediocre nonsense again and again. But they're clearly doing something right, considering how successful they are.

On the topic of these kinda webcomics, if you're looking for a hilarious so "bad it's good" read, here are my top three:
