@Legendofgenii Thanks :smiley: Yeah it's a common struggle. Oftentimes the solution is body language aka anatomy... But that doesn't make the process any easier. :cry_02:

@Mallory Yeah... Like, I don't mind reusing panels or parts of panels but there has to be some variety. T_T but then zooming out and new establishing shots and reestablishing shots contain... Hhhhhhh.... Backgrounds. :blank:
I love your cover so far, it looks super cute. :heart_eyes:

@mostpowerfrog I love how you did the jacket and trousers. It's such a cool style.

So I've decided to design a ship for my pirate captain character and while I don't know much about how ships work I can swear like a sailor when I look up reference images for the rigging. :cry_01:

(actually I always swear like a sailor. I dread having to censor swear words in my webcomic.)

I´m trying to memorise how to draw the head to speed up my drawing process,
the front and side view are easier than everything which is in between. My favourite head pose
is 3/4 because I think that it looks the most interesting, unfortunately it´s really hard to memorise.
And I drew a quick Lucky Luke in my style under the practice, so I don´t forget that drawing comics
used to be fun :smiley:

Looks great though!
My favourite head pose is 3/4 too, so much so that I find it easier to draw than a front view at this point because it's what I draw the most (I always use the mirror tool to thumbnail that because it looks like a Dalí otherwise).... Front views are hard. XD

@MerrowBros looks great! I love the earpiece and the design feels very appealing/friendly. Shape language :thumbsup:.

@Mallory that's pizza in a tube?????? :heart_eyes: :pizza:

@liaroger same about the 3/4 lol. I console myself that in real life it would be the exception to look at someone's face exactly from the front or side, so it's all good, right?

@mbindhammer I'm really digging these illustrations!

@liaroger - as someone who is a certified BoatGirl (TM) (I used to race small sail dinghies as a kid by myself, and crewed with my parents in larger yacht races, and I've built so many model boats that I could basically free-hand my last ship design), I seriously cannot recommend enough that you try sailing for yourself. There's sailing clubs on any sized body of water pretty much, and in my experience they are very welcoming to new people and will typically have some kind of a "come and learn" program, whether it's paid or free. It's not terribly physically-demanding if you don't want it to be most of the time so you don't need to be a fitness nut to enjoy it (in fact, it's super popular with old folks because of it). But it will give you so much content to write from, and help you understand how sails and boats work.

@Legendofgenii Thank you! :smiley:

@migxmeg yep, that is indeed a tube pizza! Sort of a last minute addition, but I'm quite happy with it, haha.
