Phew, I finished the pages I started before the sickness. I am not sure what I love more, scared Gil or losing it Gil lol. Gotta go faster with new pages

It's been a long time coming, but I finally finished writing the next chapter of my novel. Here's sketches for the illustrations to go along with it. There might be a third one, but the idea I have for it is ambitious and I don't quite have it down. Anyway, here's Aiden and Jun goofing around.

I wanted to capture the vibe of this gif in Aiden's second pose.

Update: Here's the third sketch. I opted to change my style a little to convey the intensity of this situation

Yes, with the creation of Beleard/grown Eugene my love for drawing characters with dad bods skyrocketed and I am enjoying every second of it lol

love the diversity of your characters ! i struggle with generic female bodies and have never drawn a male body i just enjoy drawing women

@candiedcotton charas with long ears and sharp nails are the best

@bunny ty! I do prefer drawing women too 🤭 but honestly, on average it's easier to just try and treat female and make bodies in the same way, in core they are not really different. Like you can try tricking your mind into drawing guys by drawing more fit and muscular women. A bit more in shoulders, slightly less in hips. It will feel better after some time.
I do prefer drawing women because it's much easier to add more curve and don't think if it looks strange xD

Making height charts and struggling with keeping proportions of too many characters.

Man, I struggle with drawing women. For some reason they almost always look too masculine and I have to put in extra work to make them look more feminine.
