Rough concept sketch while I'm taking a break and trying to focus more on writing. Having a visual to work with helps so much though.

Ok who does that man look like- he reminds me of someone?? Keanu Reeves???

Top of the morning everyone.
Here is a colored sketch of Dexter Decker who is the nerdy assistant
of Mr.Pumpernickel. I´m not sure about Pumpernickel´s first name yet.
I kind of like Mortimer because it sounds old, but I also like Richard
because it´s a common name in Germany and Pumpernickel is a german
bread. Not sure.

I made Sauerkraut with my dad today, it doesn´t get more german than
that. It will be ready to eat in 6 weeks.

I´m trying to get better at thumbnails, I think that´s the next step on my
art journey, advice is welcome. I already ordered a film making book

This is super whimsical and fun. Love, love, love the warmth and movement.

Art help:

So, I think I made a tech mistake and want to see if this is possible.

In one of the older panels, I drew the helicopter middle door look like this:

So, the middle door is supposed to slide which I didn't do and in the W.I.P, the door looks like this:

So, the only possible way the door opens for this helicopter is upwards... which somewhat doesn't make sense, I think, since it might hit the propellers.

My question: is there any helicopters that open upwards without having to hit the propellers? And in this situation, what it the best approach to go on with this?

Thanks and regards.

Trying to replace doom scrolling in scraps of free time with mending/crochet/random iPad sketches. It's just a self fulfilling prophecy telling myself I don't have time to get any actual thing done

Must have used a variation on this expression somewhere before - picked an old reference photo of myself at random 🤷‍♀️.

Work-in-progress sketches for the upcoming episode of my comic

First sketches of a new side character. I want her to look like a cartoon version of Jayne Mansfield
in "The girl can´t help it"

And a page study from one of my favourite comics, i will probably add this to my daily training
because I learn a lot by doing this

Did a quick thingy today that was originally intended to be trying to draw without shadows but apparently my lil' brain cannot conceive such things.

ETA: No shadows:

Also @Lensing, that is my faaaaaavourite character archetype, haha. I have one in every one of my stories.
