Thank you, friend.

I’m a self taught artist, influenced mostly by other great artists’ works.

I’d recommend that you start by doing life sketches of objects first, then move on to structures, and then scenery and finally live animal and human models. Practice every day for a few hours diligently.

Hope that helps.

Excuse me, that's a sketch? It's... cleaner than my lineart.... :cry_01:

@Black_Conscious LOVE the Tc Ka/Te Fiti dichotomy. One of my favorite characters, right there!

@mostpowerfrog that is a great, great-looking character! Hope it gets resurrected for something down the line (but in the meantime, I’m pumped it’s blessing this forum).

@nathanKmcwilliams I love everything about this Rip skating sketch

@MerrowBros I love EVERYTHING about Kermit punching Hitler.

@sartinjacqueline05 that is evil looks especially cuddly.

@migxmeg oh man, this sketch is sooooo good. It makes me miss figure drawing in college.

@conventurecomics LOVE your first sketches glasses/eyes combo. A bit swirly and super fun.

@Mallory That RUNNING POSE IS AMAZING! (I accidentally left caps lock on, but you know what, I’m keeping it. It’s So GOOD).

@CarltonIsaac I love those lanky limbs.

@aqua03 BWAHahahahahahahaha…. He looks so happy. What a stink’n cute rebel.

Thanks. Indeed he is. Kirb don't care 'bout no stinkin' rules! He can smoke his smoke free candy cigs wherever he wants! :sunglasses:

The 3 quarter turn was KILLING me today. Still needs tweaks, but we’re not in a bad place. It also animated not too shabbily (ignore the growing belt buckle… and the other mistakes).

I want my comic looking tight after 60+ chapters of winging it. No more rusty wing time for me (well, after the giant buffer is done (kids… the buffer lasts til May 2022, so don’t get excited)).

Magma Board WIP Plan to continue this tomorrow as I have more freetime
November Magma Board has 2 more days (month went fast lol)
Evan got a high five from someone but
If anyone's interested, little Noel (toddler) is waiting for someone to interact with him too XD
Don't be shy :stuck_out_tongue:

@DanielRKM cool ortho animated rotation

@Legendofgenii awesome Genii sketch, I'm here thinking of what he's thinking about XD

@aqua03 yea that pic goes hard I buss out laughing, never knew Kirbs was a smoker XD

Thanks. It was one of those ideas I just had randomly and realized "Yeah, I gotta draw that one out real quick." XD

Yep I hear ya! Your random thought of what smoker kirbs wld look like solved XD
Random quickies r always the best!

Lol, thanks. Yeah, random fun meme doodles are always the best. :joy:

I have this sketch of Minotaur design with my greco-roman based story.
Somehow, I'm worry about not getting to the point of my story.
I have a problem with being a perfectionist in my own work.
Knowing the fact that Netflix had a better series on greek gods and their designs are stunning.
I do feel pressure as an individual who trying to bring my old ideas 20 years ago into life.
Although the Blood of Zeus is a pure myth fantasy, and mine is more realism fantasy trying to play around with the myths, I wanted to edit and make the story strong enough to prevent people from telling me that I'm just making yet another common boring old greek myth story.

Okay, enough with the rant. Here's a creature created by... stitching a bull's head to a human body.

Dear God, this is brainless?!?!?!

I can't wait until I develop enough neural pathways in my head so I can do something like this so (wait for it, loaded phrase forthcoming)... effortlessly.

Oh noooo I didn't mean it that way ><. Absolutely needed my brain I promise - actually it was quite fun to try to translate the character model to kind of a weird perspective and add wind, etc. The part that gives me trouble is coming up with something to do every day XD. I'm more than happy to sit down and draw but coming up with what to draw and how to draw it - pose, framing, whatever - is just really taxing to me sometimes.

For sure. And all your work really shines so brightly for all those brain-busting rendering sessions. The breadth of poses, the attention to detail, etc. Your journey continues to inspire so much awe (as well as spark curiosity in others to greater develop our craft). So good.
