@ybarrolaemmanuel - Thank you! This is actually a first for me... Like I said so far all of my 20 pages of Engram took ~30 hrs per page, and it's a huge energy suck - especially when I have injuries that stop me from drawing more than a few hours. So I went into this with the explicit desire to see how quickly I can do it. I did not have an under sketch like I normally do, only the rough gestures, and the rest I figured out with the "line art" (which is really just a clean sketch in a dark color lol). Saved a ton of time (the other time saver is not really committing to backgrounds... *cries in three cityscapes that are all holding up Engram...).
Also I switched from using black outlines a few years ago and I honestly love it. The beauty of not using black is some other color can easily stand in for it when it's absent - but is way easier to shade! Which reminds me - I (almost) finished another muscle man!
ETA to avoid double-post: started on another muscle man. Some gesture studies. This is by far the most muscular man I will draw thus far in my life. You can see I don't even know where to start lol how do I draw non-waif dudes.
