@Chita thank you for the reassurance. :cry_swag: I told myself after Sunday's game, barring some horrible catastrophe, I will post them to the team fan space. D:

@DualDragons Oh man I love the lighting on the pin-up... it really brings out the, ehem, curves.

Here is Jason's million-dollar smile. He's not a big character but the smile is an important plot point so uh... I tried it out. Someone please teach me how to draw smiling people with partially-open eyes that don't look like serial killers.

Quick thing of Leonie's brace. I will need to simplify it way more to fit with the style, right now it's just basically my old brace lol.

Some bonus art of Jin as an inksgiving follow-up! Here he is in all of his adorable glory ^^

Also been reading dual's comic ROtH and I've decided that when I have time, I'm gonna draw Jin and Cress high-fiving or something

I eagerly await the stop motion Rankin Bass adaptation on CBS.

Given some of the content in the story, Robot Chicken is more likely to do an adaptation lol

Lol. I mean, as long as it's stop motion, it's good.

(Also both are owned by Warner Bros now, so it counts either way. XD)

I ended up doing another character study today. This time is Coach Pepper's son. He's supposed to look really mean but he's actually anything but. He chose 52 for his jersey number because 1952 was the birth year of Rita Dove (who writes just absolutely breath-taking poetry). Struggling with trying to figure out the voice of the narrator in the comic so I'm procrastinating starting on the pages....

Also my husband said he looks like he's pooping and I had to respond with "no you're pooping". I can't help that it's literally a pooping pose!!!

Yesterday's warm up studies the first set of sketches always make me laugh. My proportions are way off and everythingis pretty abstract 🤣

After the first few sketches I managed to do this sketch. The main feature this time was the type 4c hair.

Then I did a life study of my little Maile figurine:

And here is a finished sketch of a scene from lilo and stitch. I'm trying to get in the habit of completing big images from start to finish

And then I did a quick sketch before bed, last night :sleeping_accommodation:

Last spine set drawing from the skeleton model. I guess the output should look the same if I'm doing it right for another dozen but I get to look at humans.

@Kelheor how did you know where to put all those lines in 5 minutes? Bummed I won't be at the desk as much tomorrow but will check Twitch if I'm here :3.

@nathanKmcwilliams poor Darrel!! Lol, very nice. So excited for your Christmas comic :hype_01:.

@MerrowBros
Glad you like it. Darrel is a fun character to draw.

@migxmeg
Hopefully people will like it. It's definitely...going to be an acquired taste. If you like movies like The Last Action Hero, I'm sure it'll scratch that itch.

@Kelheor what time?

@AfroAtelier I love how lively you make these pencil sketches work. Really reminds me of storyboards.

Once I added the pop colors to the inks I felt like for the first time my digital drawings had an actual purpose in my body of work that I can explore (without needing weird perspective). I'm not sure if the purple tint was better for color harmony or if keeping strong greys was better for contrasting. At some point I'll probably need to do one of those polls.
