@DanielRKM so sorry to hear about the tough week it's wonderful to have some great works to lean on. I think all your chibis came out so sweet and adorable! And maybe this is awful but it's always fascinating to me to hear which of their works artists love/like/kind of don't like/hate. It's a weird peek at the very personal goggles we have for our own work I guess.

@nathanKmcwilliams that forest scene looks so good. How you get so much atmosphere/sense of place down in a loose sketch always amazes me, damn.

@migxmeg thank you. I have a hard time getting that same feeling from my finished pieces. Most often it feels like my sketches are better than my inks for stuff like forests and buildings.
It's probably just less pressure because of the loose nature of sketching.

The actual last thing I need is another drawing of Abi looking mopey or thoughtful but since it's pretty much what I've got to draw over and over for Thursday might as well warm up for it .

Thank you! I feel like exploring the absolute fundamentals across 4 different medias (styles) is a noble pursuit of my art. As long as there's an expression of therapeutic or motivation, this feels like one I should do more of after finishing this and the phoenix.

@LCT_m_a_d if it's not a bizarre/too stupid thing to ask, what are the absolute fundamentals? I've taken an... "unstructured" let's call it approach to my art studies and never know what it means .

@Kelheor if you ever asked Darkstrong to estimate the number of mopey Gils he had you do and all he had to say was "well, guess you probably should be good at drawing it by now" then we might have something spooky going on lmao.

Definitely not a stupid question. It's somewhat controversial or ambitious since "Anything can be art" so the fundamentals (if applicable) would probably vary depending on the task.

I'm big on the principals and elements of design/art, some dancing/movement theory, and just spending a lot of time imagining. Though, my comic tends to be the exception here as the faces are a little bit more influenced in the manner of a "how to draw..." tutorial or "style guides".
