Colorber day 09 - Shoyo Hinata
The pose wasn't that hard as it seems, but the head position was impossible xd
Thanks to the net it looks decent, but then again it's harder to recognice the character, so meh.
It seems like I am missing something, though, like some speed lines, but I had no more colors for that so I left it like that. Its for the best.
Daily Loomis method. I´m combing my daily drawing training with physical excercise.
At the moment I´m doing 17 pushups every hour because I´m at day 17 of the training.
I´ll ride to the copy shop now to print the cover artwork of my single, I hope it
will work.
I went to the new japanese noodle house yesterday in my hometown, it was the
best udon noodle soup I ever had.
Here is a nsfw 18 + sketch. I hope I don´t get banned, in case I get banned, nice
knowing you all. It´s a sketch for the comic I´m working on
Julia at the massage studio
Took some time to sketch the whole team up for something.
Part of me wants to finish it right away despite knowing that it'll take me literal days for that many characters, but I think I'll keep my focus on more important things for now ^^"
Either way, I'm quite happy with how it turned out so far uwu
Colorber 10 - Penitent One (Blasphemous)
@l_vi Yeah! It's Hinata =D It's hard to see from the perspective and the position of the head, and the net, but I didn't want to start over again xD
Wednesday means Loomis side view.
Next character that I will work on is Julia, she is Regina´s arch enemy and
vice versa. Here are some quick sketches.
The printing of my record cover didn´t work the way I wanted because the
print shop can´t print on the record sleeves. I will try out to print it myself
with those t-shirt printing foils. It´s not made to print on paper but it maybe
gives it an even more vintage look. I have a lot of blank cardboard style record
sleeves so I can try out a bit
Some collar drawing practice. Collars are hard to draw for me
I´ll be playing a show in a club in front of a water castle in my hometown this
friday and then we´ll drive to Hamburg to play a show, I´m excited
Finally got a chance to finish Owen on Tapas Artboard,
It closes on 13th Oct incase anyone still wanted to draw!
(optional: you can paste a .png via Edit (top menu) > paste)
The Tapas artboard theme is Relax
Link here:
Owen here (drawn completely on Magma) sitting next to @Zixixibi, @Savepointer and @Narwhal
Was also working on a character's emblem earlier
for this Dr. themed Wrestler.. Ready for a checkup?!
(emblem on briefs & vest pocket))
@alliascompany nice perspective, lol @ prison, an infirmary right? Maybe some minor medical props or a windows can help?
@vapidink love the palette, the braids look awesome the way you captured the bits of highlights, the twinkles and the smile make it cheerful and lively!
@Lensing loving the Loomis Sideviews, look forward to Julia and enjoy your show in Hamburg sounds exciting indeed!
@l_vi carmen lookin awesome! Love the way you captured the overshadow and fierceness of the eyes
@strawbisci Love it, nice color combo and the linework on the skin stretching gives it a neat impact!
I took apart a Flash Gordon panel to see what made it tick and if I could steal some of it for my own use.
I used .... GASP ... tracing to do so.
A lot of the magic is in how how the shapes are defined by lighting and shadow rather than outlining the forms. It's rather painterly.
I suspect the main characters of Flash and Dale are based on models because they lack the exaggerated caricatures that define the other characters and they tend to look like they're posing.
Loomis 3/4 practice and a quick Julia sketch in a bar
I will do some muscle & clothes studies now which
I will maybe add to the sketches later
I wrote a little story to introduce Julia
I´m at 19 pushups now, I´m doing 10 sets a day over the whole day.
I´m adding one each day. Let´s see what´s my limit
Posted this on ig recently, so thought to share it here!
I've been using procreate more now... still getting used to it, but love sitting on the couch or in bed doing digital drawing. I just really am not used to mobile devices and all their weird touch-screen hotkeys. It's really unintuitive for me.
The last two comics I was developing are back in the oven because one is wayyy too long, and the other spent too much time attacking guys who have a habit of shooting up shopping malls.
I decided to push ahead with another concept I was working on. A weekly mix of essay, info, and editorial comics.
...
Also I drew a space elf last night and want to use her in something, so she's doing a science!
