OC-tober Day 18: Swap
Went with a gender swap for this one!

@llobucervallince Yeah, I agree with Xiaostar on the author name, maybe stick to plain white just to make it more legible. It looks good though!

Yeah I was thinking about making it brighter but that's after I start rendering
And the signature on the title is part of one smart object, I usually prefer it this way because it adapts better to different color compositions, besides the image is a screenshot, so the quality is not its best.

Colorber day 18 - Spoiler

Disappointed in the color palette of this day. It looked like 5 colors, but 2 were the same, so I had less with what to work to. And I wanted so much to give a bit of more depth to Steph with the extra color. Oh well.

Some lazy Loomis 3/4 view and some sketches of Tintin and poses

And some ribcage study sketches in front view. I´m trying to the same with the ribcage
like I did with the Loomis method. It´s really hard to get the perspective and the dimensions
right when drawing the ribcage and the pelvis.

Started thumbnailing chapter 2 and one of the pages seen here has 11 panels. Its probably the most for any given page I've drawn but I wonder if I over corrected too much here, since in the past I had a bad habbit of spreading out dialogue that in some cases would better suit being much shorter. For the record, the decision making for the page Im mentioned (number 14) has the script taken into account (as with the other pages), and dialogue itself will contain mostly short single sentences. I was told it may be too crampt and visually tiring so Im on the fence with this one.

Colorber day 19 - Thetis of Mermaid

Its a bit confusing, but I don't care!! I love how this one came out!! Specially because I always watched Saint Seiya, and making the armor right was such a pleasure n_n

I´m at 10 sets of 25 pushups now, tomorrow and sunday are rest days.

I´ll play a club show in cologne tomorrow, it will probably be good

I´m teaching kids again in 2024, I´m planning to focus the course on
faces. The last course was about making comics in general and it was
overwhelming for the kids because some of them were not able to draw
simple things

You could always throw the dialogue in there and get some objective readers to see how it flows with 11 panels. It seems dense but there aren't any hard and fast rules that can't be broken. If it calls for 11, dial it up to 11 (or dear God, cut it back if it ends up being too much for readers). If you want an objective reader, feel free to ping me on the main Tapas site (since the forums messaging has zero alerts now).

OC_tober #5. Couldn’t think of a better way to have my character be surrounded by candy than having Valor team-up with Caramel and her candy magic from Revenge of the Candy Snatchers by @glennsworldcomicz (and thankfully he’s cool with me encorporatimg them). Their poses are references to Ghost Rider and Wonder Woman covers. Can’t wait to put the finishing touches on this.

Never thought Val would ride on a giant gummy worm, but comics can be cool like that, kids.

Colorber day 20 - Fury

Okay, I have done Fury before, but I like the replacement trinity that came after Crisis on Infinity Earths. I am still in debt with Iron Munro and Flying Fox though. I gonna try to add them in the remaining days.

@vapidink that is such a beautiful coloring! I wish I could color backgrounds like that! I always forget to add occlusion xd
