I put myself in hand jail at the beginning of the month to see how I feel (it did make a difference with some parts of my neck and shoulder so I'm probably going to continue hand jail for a little while longer...), but in the mean time y'all went and drew a bunch of awesome OC art and I ran out of likes... gah, why the limit, tapas?!

I've been itching to draw so I drew a little yesterday and today. A little cheatie-poo day, if you will.

My project is currently being looked at by a few more people, so I went back and drew the MC differently based on feedback... I do like her, but I would have to hire a line artist if this style got approved. :<

Also this is me fulfilling my curiosity about that other project I had, with the new "minimalist" character. I was once again on the hunt for a style that would let me draw ~1 page a day.

Roughs are down from the last OC-tober (shopping for spooky stuff). It’s weird to age up Vashti and see her in more of a domestic role (essentially being just the mom in this family circus). It totally makes me rethink every domestic, parental staple in comics and envisioning their revolutionary, bad@$$ past-selves. Also, gonna pat myself on the back for naming my Spirit Halloween parody as “Jump Scare: Pop-Up Shop.” Pretty clever after only one cup of coffee 🥸

Ooooo, and I finished the Candy Snatchers cross over pic (hidden below since It always feels weird posting a pic that’s so far removed from being a sketch):

Pumped. Not gonna lie, it feels a bit different doing creator-approved cross-over art versus shot-in-the-dark fan art. It feels like I’m making it, kids. Today’s a good day
