5 in the morning sketch, I applied some random rendering to the sketch from
yesterday

mmm... I did the white space highliths and shadows this time. Its looks better, but I think that maybe doing the shadows with an actual color instead of adding a grey would be better. Also debating if the dark colors (like the hair) should have white too, or just a brighter version of the color. Whatever I do, I better stick with it, to make it consistent. Also, next time I gonna check that app where I can position the face and light to have better results, because I don't think this make too much sense, even when its not bad xd

Anyone played 'Flower, Sun and Rain'? This is Sumio Mondo. Lovely fella. Maybe I will stick with him for my next exercise. It's easy to draw him.

Today was not good a sketching day and I really had to pull this portrait sketch through

I doodled in my sketchbooks instead of, say, drawing an actual comic even though I have enough scripted now that I have no excuse not to!

I got back to working on that 500 Drawing Prompts book...

And the only thing people care about: More Final Fantasy character sketches.

Experimenting with some facial expressions for my comic's mc, Lionel.

After focusing so much on future concepts and alt designs, I thought it time to return to the present and sketch her Chapter 03 design :relieved:

I dont tend to use sketches as much, as I tend to brute force it without sletches, I dont tend have the most complicated art style, I like things to be more simplistic and more slick, so my sketches tend to be more crude.

I did some quick sketches of poses done by other people and then this came
out

Well well!
This look pretty nice!
Also stopped painting eyes, because they call too much attention with markers. Maybe just thew black dot would suffice?
Still asking myself if this version of hair is good, but for now it is.
Gonna check some tutorials now to see where can I go from this =D

Some more practice sketches! Definitely easier to do little doodles now so I'll keep practicing while I have the time.

Another messy sketch of Lady Lock because she’s my fav :sparkles: honestly tho I think she’s one of my most drawn characters, I’m always drawing her.

Someone I know invited me to be in a dnd campaign. The campaign is going to have two different worlds so I needed a character for each. It won’t start until next school year though.

One world is fantasy and the other is dystopian. They’re connected somehow with lore I’m guessing.

Quick sketches of a new Mecha concept... an Orange Juice blender turned into a heroic Mecha robot thay fights alien invanders.

Some hand doodles because I´m taking a break from the portratit drawing over the weekend

I´m work on a simplified method to draw heads which I will use in one of my courses for kids.
I came with this sketching method with Harry Potter style glasses because it´s something that
the kids can draw easily and it makes it easy to place the eyes, nose and ears. I will work
on it a bit more and test it with my nieces before I use it in the course

Concept for Teen!Larry with fully embraced hybrid features, also trying new shading for fun

More Lionel doodles, I'm getting really good at drawing him.
Though I need to start designing the other characters looks.

More face drawing sketches for the next drawing course.
I think I found a good method that will work for the kids.
We will just do the front view

I added some more sketches, I think the kids will love it and
I hope the method is not too complicated for them

Laptop's busted so I'm doing a bit of trad sketching while it gets fixed. This one's a concept for a cover. Might ink and color it later. Sorry for the awful photo quality, lol.

I will make more just for fun sketches in the future, I also reactivated my instagram account which
was almost dead

Experimented with a different style. Been trying on and off to find something fun and different for the next Trespasser short.

Thanks!

I am working with photoshop, but it's still food for thought
I've been primarily using the 'Kyle' brush pack for screentones. They work fine, but they don't give you as much control as the tools the video you posted shows.

CSP's good still outweighs the bad for me though they're moving into PS territory. PS's bad outweighed its good back in the Aughts.

I figure these are vaguely drawn enough to count as "sketches" more than W.i.P.s so they go in this thread...
