@vothnthorvaldson have you ever seen a tick lay eggs? It's quite possibly one of the nastiest deliveries in nature. Saw it on a PBS special once, it was worse than I ever expected ( x_x)

It's worst on video because it's magnified. I've not seen it in nature but I suppose the eggs are barely visible, although the enlarged females must be pretty disgusting 🤢
Despite the number of ticks around here, I rarely see them full of blood because I don't have a dog and I don't let them time to get attached on me.

The craziest part is that it's instant death for the female. I think the video showed a sheep tick from England, because it was a pretty big specimen.

Just in case anyone is squeamish

The eggs burst out from the tick's mouth and head, while the body deflates all at once. It's like watching a packet of mustard being stepped on. The eggs come out in a jelly-like mass.

from where i'm from, they'd go to people's houses in hopes to convert the owners. some even goes back to said houses, twice, whenever the owner has some questions (although those questions are mostly nonsense in order to get those people to leave) they cannot answer on the first time.

Huh! That’s more of a Mormon thing to do in my area, but I have secret Mormon repellent! I get my Mormon friend to stand outside and talk to them instead! Ha ah! XD

Thankfully I now live in a neighborhood where it’s not ok to go door to door for any reason, be it religious or for selling Girl Scout cookies.
