For "Godswater", I would probably say either "Safe and Sound", by Taylor Swift feat. The Civil Wars or "The Cruel Wars" by The Dreadnaughts. I listen to a lot of folksy music when I write that one, and "Safe and Sound" just really fits the mood of the book, while "The Cruel Wars" has some of the same themes.

There's a lot of songs that all kind of combined helped to inspire "Project: Achilles", but a big one that I like to listen to when I'm doing things for it is "God's Gonna Cut You Down" by Johnny Cash. It really captures the main character's motivations and the ultimate goal of the group.

I'm the type to make playlists for my stories/characters so it was hard to choose just one! Pomme is such a treat to listen to, even if you don't speak French very well like me

THIS IS MY TIME TO SHINE! My novel is based off of the song F.U. by Little Mix (and also off of external stuff haha) and I sang a partial cover of it which wasn't too shabby. But alas, I am no Jesy or Jade so here is a Spotify link? Am I the only one who uses Spotify?? A second song could be Comatose by jxdn. It's really a bop. Listen at your own risk cause there's a bit of swearing in that one.

I pretty much have two that really kick started me into making a full on story with my ocs!
This first one really gave me the inspiration for what the threat of the story would be (in this case a demon) and what one of the fights would've been. I was also really inspired by someone who made a Gravity Falls pmv with this song!

This one though really steered the story in a completely different direction. It no longer aligns in the plot, but it solidified who I wanted as my main character and what her goals would be. In this version, she saw gods in her dreams telling her to find her destiny. From here I took out the gods but wanted to mess around with the dream aspect more. The year after I first heard this song was when I first started developing my comic!

I absolutely find a lot of my story inspiration through songs, so this was fun to look back on what truly molded my comic haha

In broad terms, Project 86 could probably be used as a source of musical inspiration for everything I've ever written. This most recent serialized novel, though, is specifically Something We Can't Be. (if ye be careful, you'll even find a lyrical nod partway through the story)

I wouldn't say it was direct inspiration but this captures the main sentiment very well.

The name for my first chapters (all of them are named after songs so) came from this song and it also suits the story well so I'm putting it here too.
