my impulse is to ignore it, but at home i usually sadly kill it bc my sister is DEATHLY afraid of spiders

Paper, glass, open door, toss it outside. That's my standard spider protocol.

Small spider can live bc they get flies. Big spider can die on sight.

Soo.the timing of this just makes me laugh I swear this thread has brought bad luck upon me.. looking at you @DokiDokiTsuna :stuck_out_tongue:

I legit haven't seen a spider in my apartment since last winter ( we live on the top floor - so not many spiders get up there to begin with ). Then last night there was a spider on the ceiling of the shower, so I call my boyfriend in to take care of it - he manages to hit the spider down but it makes a run for it....we can't find it anywhere.

After five minutes I concede to finally take a shower - which is what I came in there in the first place for. I'm paranoid as hell that this spider is going to come out of nowhere - which eventually it does. I then proceed to squish it with a shampoo bottle and then the sucker literally won't go down the drain!

The only bug I will kill on sight of it’s in my house is a roach because I used to live with a relative who had the worst roach infestation like they would come scurrying out of your shoes and breed in the appliances and it gave me a massive phobia.

But me and spiders are cool.

Nah man.

I see a spider in my room, I leave.
That room belongs to the spider now. Heck, it can have the whole house while we're at it.

I initially scream and then try for catch and release. That's for spiders. For carpenter ants or scary bugs I scream for my SO to handle it.

:spider:Spiders can catch flies and mosquitoes.:spider: So when I see one, I'm just like: "Welp, I guess I have a new roommate.":spider:

Where I used to live, I had carpenter ants, a dog, and a cat.

Periodically I had to pull their heads off the lips of my poor puppy :frowning:
But, being a little Boston, I'm sure he felt like he was being a good guard dog XD
Sashi (the push-faced hairy kitty) did nothing but glare with irritation at everything around him.

KILL THE SPIDER
yes I want the Flammenwerfer please

If it is a nice kind of spido, who pays his dues by catching all those nasty flies. Than I'd even give him a fist bump.

Is it within killing range?
* Yes -> dies
* No, but close -> finds tool to murder it from a distance, like a swiffer
* No, turns on all of the lights to watch it to see if it comes into kill ranges
* No, but it's super large wood spider -> makes full blown plan to murder it

Spiders around me look like they haven't eaten for years. Pretty small, skinny, and hardly noticable. But they eat many mosquitos around so... I think I should not kill them

Considering that the mosquito was listened as the 2nd most dangerous animal in Latin America and mosquito spread some crazy and terrifying diseases, I also keep the spider around.

Mosquitos are also Exterminatus level stuff.

Yep, people is spending fortune just for killing mosquitos hehe
