Thinking of taking my comic off webtoons

Even though I only have two episodes on there it just kinda rubs me the wrong way, and then you hear about how bad webtoons treats their comic artists and how they're more focused on money than creativity and I'm just kinda over them. I do like Tapas so I want to continue posting here, but I feel bad because I already have three people subscribed there. Maybe I'm overthinking it. I'm also working on a buffer so I'll be kinda posting less and I know my story will just be buried on webtoons.

Am I just overthinking it? and I did have an incident with a webtoonist that kinda left a bad taste in my mouth but we're cool now, but still I'm just not feeling the vibes from webtoon anymore. What are your guys' experience with them?

EDIT: I deleted it off webtoons but now I just want to hear your experiences with them!

Definitely not user friendly. At least for me. Webtoon made me wanna throw my computer so many times.

Also they rated my comic wrong.

Yeah I just went ahead and deleted it the community over there is toxic as well. Plus, I don't really vibe well with the workaholic culture.

I still post on Webtoon because I have subs there, but I do not like Webtoon at all, lol. The website is awful, the way staff treats their userbase is awful, and there's a lot of awful folks in the community. There's good people there too of course, but it makes me wish they'd move over to other websites.

I don't blame you for wanting to leave. With only three subs, I think you'd be fine with just deleting it and moving on.

Yeah I have three more subs here than over there it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Like indigestion but webtoon form. The formatting is off too. Whenever I post here it's fine but then one webtoons it's like the quality went down!

Stare down got marked mature for a day for no reason. They have rules against posting tittilating content but one of their originals is about a woman with a big ass trying to find a man with a big ass to model for male leggings, and then they fall in love.

They have a rule against graphic violence but one of their originals features a scene where a woman hammers a cop in the head and his blood and head guts get everywhere and you see his brain. It's so weird and hypocritical.

They wouldn't let you say the word sex in the comment section, but they had originals with the word sex in the title, both used in the context of actually referring to having sex.

It's a mirror not my main. Because not as user friendly and community engaging like Tapas.

And their censorship is worse there. What Tapas told me to tag "mature", Webtoons completely deleted.

Trespasser got rated Teen over on Webtoons (after filling out their little survey) which I think fits it.

It does, however, have barely if any engagement on Webtoons anymore. So much so, there's an episode that has 0 interaction of any kind.

While I'm not thinking about removing it outright from the platfrom, I'm not going to upload Chapter 03 to it. There's no point for me maintaining a 2nd site (with worse quality) at that point.

Webtoons I find no different than Tapas when it comes to rating comics. Both have hit me on "nudity" for showing a woman's bare back. Neither pictures were sexual or fan service in any way. Both have hit me for gore. My comics is cartoony gore. Not realistic at all. tapas has a better notification of people commenting or liking your comic, but mixes that with notifications for comics I have no interest in. Webtoons doesn't have any way to know if someone commented unless you look at each episode. Both are basically the same.

Their censorship what makes me kind of at edge... I don't like censoring my stuff especially the ultra-violent/gory scenes in "Lyza's Sandstorm". It's part of the over-arching story.

Even though, on every cover art... there's an 18+. It's not a comic for all-ages and themes. I'm very forward about these things in my stories and don't shy away from it because hey, life doesn't censor itself when bad things happen, right?

I may delete my comic over there if something funky happened... at the moment, it is still there.

I use it to filtre people to my uncensored version. I leave hardcode links to comic fury in mine on the panels. And it does work good. So keeping it for now. If it becomes an issue. No biggie my viewers know were to look off my main studio site if need be.

The censored verson on webtoons is set for mature. Ive gotten so many pages taken down saying I was showing full on nude breasts or genitals.
Its a 14+ manga in its uncensored form. There is no genitals or sexual stuff... Its not hentai.
I had one monster that was all thick fur. It was deemed fully nude. I had one character that wears a robe, cloak and pants. Nope it was full on nude to them too. No bare breasts.

I just reupload and add in arrows and big notes onto each page. As a 'whare are you doing?'
response in a way.

Tapas is PG13 censored. But no issues here so far. I do the same thing.

I don't know how on earth anyone gets readers on Webtoon when it's not community-friendly at all. My comic has been running for two years, and I still have only 16 subs in comparison to the 113 on Tapas.

Tried Webtoons for a bit. I don't like it. No comments/reader engagement whatsoever. Stop posting there a long time ago.
